This is a great local library. Large, open space. Lots of space to plug in a laptop and work. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of community events. Probably the only downside is that it's pretty loud in here during the day, there are lots of kids. So bring your headphones, or use on of the quiet study rooms if you really need to focus!

Books for Free!!!! What could be better?!?! Easy to navigate, staff friendly and ready to help...especially when looking for new book ideas for my 4 year old. the online request system is great - i'm in and out in 5 minutes. I'm not hanging out here all day, so no comment on volume level.

This library caters to everyone in my family's needs. There are always events going on and also rooms to reserve if you need a space for meetings.

This place is hands down of the most amazing libraries and staff you will ever encounter in the Raleigh area. Today Mrs. Shannon led a storytime on apples and the power flickered twice, the kids were crazy and numerous and she never once lost her cool-- always kept a smile on her face and the classroom in control. Everyone learned about Johnny apple-seed and no child was left without their voice for what apple they loved tasting the most. It was truly such a feat and she pulled it off with flying colors. The enclosed noise-proof room for kids is outstanding. I wouldn't go anywhere else! Bonus is the hold system too-- if I want a book for my kids, I click online and they email me when it is ready for pickup. A HUGE lifesaver. Love the audio books. I could go on and on!

This library had a great resources for children and the staff are especially caring for those with special needs that utilize the library for educational purposes. The building is quite open so it lends itself to be somewhat loud but I've always had positive experiences at the North Regional library.

I went to this branch for the first time yesterday. Family members have raved about it, exclaiming it was their favorite library. I have to agree. I really liked the many skylight windows throughout the library, it made the open layout plan even more open. I appreciated the easy-to-reach power plug with four outlets on top of the computer tables. Although I didn't have any questions, I observed the staff consistently expressing kindness to others who needed help with something. The only time the quiet was interrupted was when a program for toddlers was ending in the morning, and even then I didn't mind as they were on the other side of the building. I love libraries for their service to the community and for how much they've helped me and this one is no exception in my book! Pun alert :)

I discovered this library as my son goes to school nearby. I love the selections, quick check-out, and the convenience of this beautiful facility being so close to my home. I love how fast they get books in that I request. SO happy with this library!

My kids are book worms so we are at this library A LOT. The staff there is wonderful! With a lot of patience and smiles on their faces the librarians help my children find new, interesting books to read. We also have taken part in many of their offered activities, from story time, trick or treating, to decorating ginger bread houses and the story book ball. All were absolutely FREE and my children had a blast. I am so thankful we have this library close by!

Why does it seem like the county libraries are forgotten gems? Great place to relax and study. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It’s almost always quiet. Sometimes there are kid events and they get loud and excited but that’s fun to listen to and watch. There is a “quiet” room if you need it. Lots of computers to use, free and fast WiFi. All it’s missing is a coffee bar (you’re not supposed to have drinks here, anyway).

Apparently if you sit in the library parking lot for 20 mins, they send a security guard out to stare at you...? He watched me scrolling on my phone, I felt eyes on me so I looked up and he looked away...walked a few steps then went to the back of my car and then walked away around it. It was bizarre.

Good Community library. They have helpful staff and a good selection. It gets busy and loud so don't get your hopes up expecting a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. This place is family and children friendly.

Love the rocking chairs at the work tables. Hate the way the overhead light glares on a PC screen. Haven't found a place to sit where it's not an issue. Drive-by book return is strangely designed, as is evidenced by the amount of car paint on the bollards that protect the book drop. Else, a fine place to drop in when I need to work for a few hours and am running in north Raleigh on the Six Forks Falls of the Neuse area.

The librarians are very helpful and willing to find a book or teach you how to use the self-service resources. The library is convenient to most of us on the "North Raleigh" paths! Also, there is a nice childrens' area and lots of computers to access the internet.

I've been living in Wake Forest for years now and had no idea this place existed until just the other day. For it's size (it's not a large library), it is rather nice. The selection of books is surprising, and there are several areas for reading and studying. They even have a couple of rooms that can be reserved. Unlike the Wake Forest branch, this one has space to work, and is not constantly overran with children. However, there are designated children's areas that look to be top notch as well. This is perhaps one of the better branches.

Very nice library with clean facilities, friendly staff, and a large selection of books and places to study. Unfortunately, the distinction between playground and library does not seem to be apparent to most staff members or parents. Noise levels are intolerable following the local schools letting out (3:00-5:00 p.m). Otherwise a great public library.

Nice, big and open library. Clean and well organized, well stocked and well maintained. The librarians are nice ladies. Their non-fiction section is pretty good sized. I do wish they had more self checkout stations. Sufficient parking. The location is back in the cut a bit surrounded by trees. Clean bathrooms. Probably my 2nd favorite library in Raleigh (after Cameron Village)

This is a pretty good library. It's located close to my apartment so I go here often to study. The main complaint I see in the reviews is noise and I agree with it. This library can be a bit noisy, but it's never been overwhelming. I prefer some background noise, which is why I go to a public place to work. However, they also have a long room in the back that has individual desks that is labeled a quiet space, so no noise in that room. I think the library could stand for a few updates, but overall, it's a good place to get some work done and check out some books.

This library is great! There are lots of seating options, couches, chairs, tables and desks. There are plenty of computers and I like how there is a youth section and an adult section. There are always staff on hand to help you find books, get a new library card or whatever you need help with. I used to go to the library in Wake Forest, but ever since I found this library I haven't gone back to the Wake Forest one once. I love it!

One of my favorite public libraries in the triangle. It is always a quiet and relaxed environment with people from all walks of life. I also love the overdrive app and being able to get free audio books.

Edit: I'm moving this up to four stars now. I take my daughter to North Regional Library to pick out books. Everyone is always nice and she loves it. Not the place to go if you want a relatively quiet place to study. I'm not asking for much. The screaming toddlers are a bit extreme when you're studying for the GRE.
