The library is usually clean and kept up well/tidy. Wish they had more study areas/desks for people. Typically the 4 cubby desks are usually always taken so then you have to go to the back of the library which is typically loud and oftentimes people don't follow the no phone policy so its bunch of distractions.

Library is clean and well organized, and the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. There's a lovely children's room, and a very large meeting room where I've heard a number of interesting presentations. There are small tables with chairs, a comfortable "living room" seating area, and even a glass-enclosed larger table and chairs suitable for a small meeting.

Came here to study assuming a library is a good place to study...wrong. They let people tutor inside library rather than use the tables out in the lobby. So you have to listen to adults teaching students for 2 hrs straight sometimes...ridiculous especially when they can use tables in the lobby for talking extended periods of time.

Very friendly folks there. It has a safe, calming atmosphere and patrons always seem happy to be there. Love the self checkout. A very pleasant experience.

Rachel Davis & Max in the children's library are wonderful and engage all of the children. My son always looks for Rachel to talk with her about the latest book that he has read. Thank you Rachel & Max!

I come to this library fairly often to be online, read and spend some quiet time away form home. I have to say though, as clean and friendly as this library is...it is the LOUDEST library I've ever been in. People talk on their phones, and I get there are children there, but parents should take younger children into the children space and not let them yammer for hours beside other patrons who are there for the peace and quiet. If I can hear you above my headphones, you are too loud!!!

Libraries serve the communities in so many more ways than just books, and this one is no different. I am always so pleased to see how many different activities are going on when I visit. Not only is the space itself used for so many wonderful purposes, but the library itself puts on tons of fun events - i'm always a little jealous when at the cool events for children or teens. This isn't just a place to rent books or movies, it's also a community space. The building itself is wonderful, with a beautiful archway with lots of trailing flowers. I always enjoy visiting.

Love this library and entire New Hanover County Library system. Great friendly and helpful staff. Good website to search for and find books and place a hold on what you want. They will transfer books quickly from location to location . Convenient self check out stations plus helpful labrarians if you need one.
