The worse place to go people are looking at you like you are going to steal something out of there one lady she don't like black people if you go there you would know her always wear Black and glasses and she lies on Black people to get them kicked out and the cop in there is a brown nose and believe everything they say and do and say thing that is bad to people trying to read and get alone with other people

Great public library in downtown Wilmington. Nice and quiet with free Wifi. Park free for two hours in the parking garage attached to the library or you will have to pay for street parking.

Service can be unenthusiastic and sometimes downright unfriendly. It's a rare day when the check-out person seems happy to help you, and the one time I had to visit the guy upstairs to get a DVD, he was actually surly. Collections are highly uneven. For example, someone there seems to know and care about keeping the poetry collection interesting and up-to-date. But the same can't be said about drama. It's rich and varied--as long as you don't want to read anything after 2000 or so. Since then, it's been neglected terribly. The latest award-winning plays? Not there. The newest play anthologies? Zippo. In a theater-active town like Wilmington, this is a shame and a crime. On the other hand, parking is usually easy and their system is good about sending email reminders about due dates and such.

Great library. Staff is excellent and always helpful. My heart goes out to them. Lots of daily drama from the people who practically live in the building. Even through all of this, the staff is always professional.

I love going there for kids section. They provide a room for infants and toddlers to play. Kids tables and chairs are so cute. I go there every Friday for 30 min Yoga.
