Not my favorite library. It is in a very urban area . They do have a great selection of books and DVDs, but it was confusing to find the parking lot and there were homeless people on the front bench. It would be better to have your library material send to the Mebane branch where it feels like a safer area.

Excellent Library! This is the main library for Alamance County. Includes a genealogy center for local history. Has 3 study rooms which you can reserve! Has two Meeting rooms! Has a separate childrens section. Lots of computers and a big selection of books. Has a few cubicles and tables near power outlets. Also there are two different parking lots I believe reserved for library parking.

A smaller library with a wide spectrum of book,audio, and DVDs. The staff is polite aside from the sea witch Ursula . I suggest avoiding contact with her. Or she'll chew you out for miniscule things. Like being a day late on a item ,you repeatedly apologized for.

Poor Communication!!!! My wife Reserved Zoom passes to take my kids to the zoo. Family day for Labor Day kids were so excited. I went a few days before to get a card for myself and asked the librarian when to pick the passes up since the library is closed Monday and she told me Sunday. We went to pick the passes up and found out they were closed on Sunday when that were supposed to be open. Well thanks to who ever decided to close on Sunday at last minute. I had to lie to my kids and watch them cry because you closed on Sunday. Wonder if anybody cares?

Nice well organized library. Thousands upon thousands of books available to check out. They have an entire kids section designated just for kids in here with thousands of kids books. They even have kids computers in the kids section so your little ones can get their own entertainment as well. Staff here is always very respectful and helpful. Lots of school yearbooks and local history books as well. Great selection of newspapers to read. 3 study rooms available to reserve to anybody as well. Free wi-fi available to help you go online to get work done. Lots of parking available. Lots of places to sit in here to read a book. I definitely recommend this place to anybody.

The future of libraries is here. May Memorial is more than just books, it's home to a large selection of multimedia including movies and audiobooks (they also have an app for those). If you're doing local history research the folks at the reference desk can help you dig up some really amazing materials. I'm a fan of their book club programs, they have them for all genres. They also have a great selection of kids programs. Check out their calendar for new events every month, everything from dancing and 3D printing, to beer brewing and hula-hooping.
