The person that wrote the review saying the books are outdated must be looking in the wrong place. It is a wonderful library where every department has grown in the 20 years that I have been been a resident of High Point. Libraries maintain some of their older collections while continually updating every section. Their regular book sales makes it evident that they purge regularly.

Why close so early? 8pm closing is the worst! Like it better when the library closed at 9pm. I go to a Greensboro library because their hours are more suitable and I live here in HP!

Enjoyed my experience here today. The staff was kind and helpful. Only problem that I had was that the 3rd floor bathroom was incredibly smelly. Not normal bathroom smelly. Much worse. Other than that, it was quiet and nice!

Basically same comments as others: quiet; helpful staff; nice overall selection of books in all catagories as well as videos; plenty of parking; used books for sale and nearby places to eat and shop.

Amazing. I can hang there for hours and my parents can drop me off there. There are great programs and I love the librarians. I am safe there and they are always kind to me. I want to work there when I am old enough.

Awesome service . I have two kids . Older one love reading. We will borrow 10-20 books each time we go. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Also, they have lots of activities for kids, great place for all! For Those whose English is the second language, high recommend !

I go almost every weekend. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's quiet, well run with a great selection of books, plenty of computers to use and a good children's/young adult area. Their online book & magazine offerings are good as well. There is also an area to have a snack & a drink. I really appreciate the library offerings & people.

Simply put, the 3/17 incident (suspending me for now for 14 days + involving the Allied Security's guard in the Computer Room (who by the way received NO training for the job-as my contacts reveal-and was just hired on the spot), is totally disgraceful. His supposed, signed Incident Report is full of half-truths and outright lies. I'm surprised that Director Mary Sizeman was duped and congruent with his off-the-cuff (w/out investigation) suspension and supporting a child-abusing fellow patron and her perjuring patron/rent-a-cop! I'd like to bring this matter up to the Library Board a.s.a.p.! Legally, this travesty is considered a "Theft of Services", by Magistrate standards, by the way!
