This little library offers a great variety of programming that our community benefits from. Children time with Ms. Tammy is lots of fun for young children. There are paperback books that vacationers can take without a library card. On-line resources include downloads and easier access to popular titles. There is a great teen section with both fun and helpful books.

Really Wonderful Place with a great, helpful staff. It's smaller than most public libraries because Manteo isn't a very big place itself. It's just a barrier island on the Coast of North Carolina. I have always been impressed with their selection of books. What they don't have, they can get through inter library loan. Free computer time is available. You only have to sign in and wait if the computers are all taken; however, if there's a list of people waiting, usage time is limited to an hour per person. I would recommend it. My son and I spent many wonderful times in there.

Very efficient and friendly. And my first book checked out, The Soloist by Steve Lopez was a riveting read; perfect to relate to an appreciation of music and humanity.

Librarians NEVER STOP TALKING. ANd are not using library voices. I've gone at open, midday and closing and they still talk. I even asked if there was a quiet room because I needed to take a test. She said they didn't have one. And then continued to talk. Very difficult to concentrate, read, do homework, office work...
