I am a library patron because I don't feel like it is utilized as often for reading or getting books. But I only use the library computer room because my computer screen is cracked at the moment. But to be spoken to by a older librarian rudely on May 17, 2016 at 3:15pm at the Hickory Grove Library because she doesn't want to do her job is not welcoming or inviting. First she caught a attitude because I brought her my returned books instead of dropping them in the slot out front and then she told me next time " I better" bring my card because I got a temporary pass. I did not plan on coming to use the computer but being in that I am planning an event I wanted to shoot a email to someone and couldn't find my card after going back to my car to double check for it. I do not appreciate being spoken to in that manner. I said thank you and please, I am not a rude person and not one to bad mouth but I will not be talked down to because her conversation about her 72 whatever with the spoiler on the back to security be interrupted. Even though I did not speak but waited for her to notice me but got tired of security glancing at me behind her time and time again. I will not return to this branch again.

Full of good memories! I went to the library everyday to study for my real estate license. There were study rooms and quiet reading rooms available that I frequently used. The staff is friendly and its a nice environment to learn. They have a variety of events on the calendar. Not to mention there is a eclectic selection of books, cds and foreign films available to borrow. Glad I found this location!

We had a very unfavorable experience initially involving a female librarian and a male security guard but things have turned around. Majority of the librarians are super friendly and helpful and my little one loves it here! Nice sized children's area with little touch screen computers, nice size computer lab and adult area, as well. It isn't big but the quaint size gives it a familial feel. They start to know you by name and can assist with the type of material you're looking for.

This library has a peaceful environment and shared a variety of information with the public. I tend to feel very out of place in public places but the staff makes me feel right at home.

workers are helpful they have many fun activities and tutor help fo kids i would only think a library has books but my family comes here practically everyday its so fun weve made dishes from clay learned dancee moves and went to a ukelele concert

(Children's section review) Parking lot is not very big. Entrance is nice and the Librarians at the front desk are very nice. Children books for sale are eight up front. Children's area of the library is big and spacious. There are benches for sitting, plenty of tables for children to sit at. They have a small computer area with about 5 computers. A section full of board books. A nice section full of easy readers. Puzzle and bead games. Large DVD selection. nice outside area for sitting and having picnics. Librarian stationed inside children's area for help. I did not attend a storytime but they have a separate room with glass doors that close to keep kids in during story time.

Best library branch in Charlotte I've been to- staff always ready to help with suggestions on where things can be done locally if they can't help themselves. They should all be given raises and/or bonuses!!
