Best library that kids needs and near to their school and subway station. Space is a bit small compared to other libraries but it is still very peaceful area with a lot of language and racial diversities.

I give this library because of the awesome second floor balcony. The loud noise coming from screaming kids is overwhelming. This library has the potential of being my favorite if it was only quieter.

I like the program ,, Story time" . It is for kids (1-3yrs). and it is free. They also have other interesting programs and events.

I've been going here since I was a kid and continue to do so occasionally as an adult. Most of the librarians here are nice and helpful. It is easy to request a book online and pick it up when it is available, usually in a few days. The only downside is the limited amount of computers. Sometimes you have to wait to use one, esp. when the kids get out from the school across the street and hog the computers to play games.

While it is very nice that people volunteer their time to put on the Wednesday 10:15am storytime at Woodside library, the current woman should NOT be teaching children. The class is for Toddlers 1-3 years old (note: active crawlers and walkers). She spends much of her time scolding moms and nannies for not keeping their children on their laps. This does not provide a positive environment for the children and actually makes my son NOT want to pay attention to the music and stories as he's spending all of his energy trying to wriggle off my lap. Given my whole goal is that he be allowed space to roam and then find interest himself in the music and stories himself - which is exactly the experience we have each week at Sunnyside library - we will NOT be returning here. We love Sunnyside library and can't believe how two such 180 degree opposite experiences can be possible in the same neighborhood. When I was scolded this past Wednesday for not keeping him on my lap I said loudly 'Sure, it's totally realistic to expect toddlers to sit still and not crawl around' multiple moms and nannies came up to me after the class and told me their own horror stories of what the female teacher on Wednesdays at 10:15 said to them and their children. There must be a better option out there.

Always came here after school. Come for quiet time alone. Sometimes kids are screaming or annoying adults put on their music really loud through their headphones & staff takes forever to say something.

Kevin

Great selection of books and overall a pleasant environment. However, the librarians should really do something about the noise level from the kids who come to play on the computers. Every. Single. Day. Usually you can only spend 30 minutes on the computers but these kids spend hours on end playing and disturbing everyone around them. I wish I was kidding.

This branch has great programs but can be very loud and noisy. P.s.11 is right across the street and kids come streaming in all the time and make a lot of noise.

PERFECT PLACE FOR PHONE CALLS ...................AND TALK LOUDER ...................... MOST EMPLOYEES ARE NICE.

It is VERY noisy inside, mostly due to loud, disrespectful kids. Noise level is not really enforced here, and it deters me from going to that library. Employees are very nice and helpful. Computer availability is limited for adults, especially after 3pm when half of the computers are reserved for children age 18 and under, who usually just use the computers to play online games. It does not make sense to reserve them for kids. I do appreciate the existence of the library in this location, though.

Got a chance to sit down with Michael Gianaris and Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez. Like literally sit down with them at a table, only four of us citizens, and voice our concerns. The person I spoke to said they host these Mobile Office Hours at Queens Library at Woodside from time to time. Really, really cool!

I used to love coming here, but it's always so busy. The kids that come in everyday really ruin it.

Wednesday classes for kids horrible, teacher are not respectful and not interested for kids. She having coffee and just playing music and so strictly for kids. Thre is all different age of child, some more energetic some don't even understand but just sitting , she don't have respect and not understanding, who ever stand and playing on story time . Tat child must go out. She is not even trying to say a word to make understand between her and kids. Wat use for. Just killing time for 45min with no respect. Wat a shame.

They are only open on weekdays, but this neighborhood library is a joy to have in the nabe. They have some afternoon programs where they feed kids and teenagers 18 and below. Trust me, when I heard the announcement, I wanted to lie about my age... or act like a kid. They also have an awesome selection of graphic novels.

Jorge Deolarte

Very quiet library, close to park but still empty.

Yanan Wang

The librarian is very helpful, positively funny, and friendly. The place is a little tight but good enough to study and read. You need a library card to get access to wifi. They have free lectures as well from new york hospitals. Except, kids play computer games inside the library. And kinda noisy.
