This one is clear enough for it to be geared towards the Asian community, since the majority of the patrons visiting this library that frequent the library are from the immediate community. This library is set up differently, where it has a conference room & other amenities. Mixed crowed at the reception, but most are friendly. Books are still as plentiful as all other libraries. Recommended.

few day ago i visited this library and i had read some books regarding history and i found all the book amazing and knowledgeable. The library was very clean and the environment was positive .

Decent Manhattan Library, my only issue is that it gets more crowed then other libraries. Also too many homeless using bathrooms.

As a preschool teacher at Transfiguration School I use the library for my class monthly. I have visited it for years. The staff of the children's division are excellent, creative, and very willing to plan for our visit. They have an excellent early childhood program. The children have loved visiting them for the past 10 years. The families who live locally report the librarians remember our children and give them special attention.

The staff are friendly and helpful. It can become really crowded at times and so it can sometimes be hard to find a seat. Whenever it is crowded, it does get loud, but the staff is always there to remind everyone to quiet down. It is also very spacious library. Also, the lower level is not easily located but theres a stairway at the end of the first floor that leads to it. Edit: Sadly, only one public restroom for the adults and not to expect much of a public restroom but the smell is something to endure. Not horribly pungent but unsettling as to say. Also be mindful that you may have to deal with cases of people being disruptive on both the main floor and lower level. Wish there were more computers to use as most of which are booked by young children who use it to play minecraft lol.

This is a cool library right in the middle of Chinatown. Lots of books and magazine and other valuable resources for people living in the neighborhood. The library is always clean, and the people are nice and friendly.

Very noisy and sometimes kids running around, but most of the staff there doesn't care, especially the older chinese woman librarian and the fat white woman librarian. The security guy sometimes just walks around shaking hands with everyone instead of doing his job maintaining order. Limited number of seats due to a lot of old folks just hanging around.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 19. This NYC Public Liberty located on East Broadway, Chinatown, New York City is a wonderful public library. The building itself is a building from the era of the yesteryears. Nice solid building, build to last and withstand the elements of Mother Nature. The inside is absolutely fabulous, done in wood and soft color paint. Nice wooden tables and chairs. The overhead lights are what is so wonderful about this particular branch. None of the fluorescent overhead light fixtures, no pale energy saving bulbs. They have place soft yellow bulbs in all the overhead lamps, the fixtures are a round globe glass cover. The lights are so soothing on the eyes. Definitely a 5 star rating for this NYC Public Library Chinatown branch. And the branch is handicap access.

went in there to get a library card, staff is very friendly. just not a lot of choice. Bump all the way down to 1 star for my second visit, people in there play games with music and ringtones on talk on the phones loud , watching dramas , seriously ? Nobody cares? I came here to study , it was really loud and noisy . Do not recommend this library for study bad choice ! Staff should of at least tell them to control their self !2/4/17
