I go frequently to the Library. As I am a avid reader. Princeton Public Library is amazing. The staff is great and books are easy to check out and you can save your money but using the library instead of spending buying books you may never read, but if you use the library and don't like the book no harm done. Just return it and you've saved you money. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the books are in very good condition.
Staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. Good selection. Great kids and young adult reading sections
The staff is amazing and always willing to help. The facility is clean and has a very nice children's section. Refreshments can be purchased at the main desk and charging ports are available at the tables. There IS an elevator for getting to the downstairs section which included computers and the children's section.
Some of the shops in the area (like princeton record exchange) don't have a restroom, so this is a good place to go.
It's a well-funded library. Ok place to hang out, except for the occasional racist old busybodies that will tell you to "Buy something!" if you sit in the cafe for a few minutes.
best library i've ever been to! huge, clean, great variety! staff is sooo friendly, couldn't ask for a better library!
So far, my favorite public library in NJ. It has reading room, study rooms and all different sitting area. Quite, clean and comfortable.
My kids love this public library. The storytimes are well-done by the children's librarian. The second floor is entirely dedicated to children, and also includes a separate play room with high-quality toys for creative play. The downstairs level has a little cafe where you can get your fix of hot coffee and croissants, sandwiches, salads.
Best mid-sized library I have ever seen: computer stations, reading booths, study rooms, kids area, used bookshop. Great modern architecture, renovated in 2016/17. Only negative are the grumpy, hostile extremist feminists on the library staff.
Staff police the library too much, and tell people who aren't even eating that "there is no eating allowed in the library." They will tell you this many times, regardless you having already been told nearly every visit for the past year. Manny and Joe are both rude. Manny is uncaring and has an attitude. Joe possesses little to no customer service skills.
The model of public libraries. Clean, organized, with nice artworks and engaging events, and a big book selection. They also have a cafeteria on the first floor.
The library is relatively new and being Princeton they spared no expense on it. If your a student you will have a great many resources but what I love about it is the children's section! It's enormous and there are many activities for the kids planned on a regular basis. The kids love the salt water aquarium and the adults do too. The library is much more comprehensive than the old one used to be and I found the staff to be extremely knowledge and very helpful. There's also a cafe with some pretty good food although rather expensive. You can definitely get lost in there for the day without a problem!
冬天休息的好地方,人少又安靜
Princeton Public Library is awesome They are always willing to assist anyone.
Just a wonderful library!
A real place for public to know
Full-service library with great staff and a set stairs that are built to look like a ship - the ship of knowledge.
Outstanding place to hangout, browse, read, use a computer, borrow CD's, DVD'S and of course books. You can rent different spaces for your group to meet at very reasonable prices. Art all around and well designed seating areas, including a gas fireplace!
Pretty
After seeing the library grow while living in Princeton for the past 30 years. I have to say it never ceases to amaze me how great the staff are and how amazing the space is. I feel truly welcome at the library and cafe. Especially by the cafe staff. The 2nd floor renovation is amazing.
The nicest public Library I have ever been in. Super big and very clean. Tons of seating and plugs for laptops. They have cool technology sections set up here and there as well as each section being clearly labeled as to what each room is for. They also have a cafe, which your allowed to carry your drink with you.
Add ten more stars! Does anyone remember "The World's Largest Outdoor Salt Water Pool in Northern New Jersey"? Well, the Princeton Library is neither that big nor that wet. But it certainly is in the running for world's best-appointed municipal library in a university town in north central New Jersey. The book sale room, from the standpoint of this non-borrower, is paradise.
The Princeton Public Library is very spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable.
What an amazing library. I don't live in Princeton but often attend free events and seminars held at this venue and it's the most comfortable library I've ever been too. What an asset to the community!!
Only residents from Princeton borough qualify for the library
I go here a lot to hang out, and this place is great for so many things.
This place is amazing! Wonderful quiet place to focus and get away from the noisy world outside! This is one of the finest historical places in the area - dont miss the vintage photos in the downstairs area!
An excellent, five star place in the middle of Princeton downtown. The library is huge, clean and have a great variety of books. The internet is fast, I work from here when I don't go to office.
Princeton is blessed!
Amazing library with a great atmosphere. They have a wide selection of books and the café is good to.
Always visit the 3rd floor with my kids where they can read, play, or simply hangout
An incredible library that belongs to the public.
A great place for studying. You also go on the computer to do research or play games. You can also cheek out books or movies or games, with your library card. It is a great place to be.
It is hard to compete with the different university libraries' catalogs but PPL has a decent selection which includes multiple copies of recent books, guide books and a really solid selection of movies from all over the world, three aspects in which it does actually better than the university . The place itself is very nice, very quiet, and most of the staff is adorable. There is also a not so well known cafe which is one of the best option in town for a cheap meal of good quality.
This is an excellent library to bring the kids to on a rainy day.
Nice place
Nice library, they have a lot of cool books, but their hot dogs aren't the best, despite being quite pricey
Best public library I've ever attended. Friendly and knowledgable staff, great selection of books, CDs, videos and other resources. Very involved in the community. A model facility
The worlds best library!
Great! Good for families, entire 3rd floor is children and teen based with a fish tank, free coumpters and a play room for the little ones. Lots of books and movie and game rentals too. Newly renovated 2nd floor is great, for studying and work
Great place to work, read, and relax. Seriously great study space. They even have a coffee shop. This is probably the nicest library I've been to outside a college campus.
This place is really lovely. So many options, great places to sit, relax and read.
Unfortunately not part of the county library system (if I recall). If you do not live in Princeton proper you have to pay for membership, I believe. This is unfortunate, because it seems like a very pleasant space.
pleasant experience for myself and my 6 year old son. every child should be introduced to the library and all the information it can provide. a library card also gives a child an identifiable card for their wallet. this can come in handy in case they should get lost. my son also had a state picture idee. however, the lesson of checking out your own book, and the experience, is great, teaching responsibility and interaction with others. let's not forget they can choose to read what they want to encourage them to read more, become more knowledgeable and improve reading as well as other subjects by increasing vocabulary.
Quite, relaxing, friendly, courteous, all in one package whether you are there to browse the web, read, or research specific topics. Very helpful team. Easy to navigate through your the building with help from signs on the wall. They also have multiple restrooms as well as multiple entrances and exits. The computer lab is downstairs. You can also visit the website to place orders, view events, and more!
Library is spacious, well-kept and quiet, and is a wonderful place to do work when you just have to get off campus. Staff are very friendly and patient, and I love the book sale portion near the entrance - it's great to get new reading material while supporting a public institution!
Helpful staff. Knowledgeable. Went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. Clean and we'll kept. Lots of new material. Contemporary look on inside. In an historic post office building. Convenient to down town. Free parking.
Love a good library!! Pretty cool looking. Don’t need any password for the WiFi either
Awesome library
Great location, lots of space added post renovation
Great nice place for families (esp. kids) with kind staff
Great !!!!
The annual book sale sometimes can have surprise
This is a great library. It has an awesome collections of books and is easy to visit. It is clean and has well maintained reading and study rooms. Self checkout is possible as is assisted checkout. There is no limit on the number of books one can borrow which is great and no monthly membership fee if you live in Princeton. The library also rents out DVDs and ebooks. They also validate parking when you use the spring Street garage which is great because parking in downtown Princeton is hard.
Excelente lugar para los niños.! Muy seguro, limpio, el staff muy amable y ofrecen ayuda para cualquier problema.. La remodelación en el cuarto de niños quedó perfecta ... el lugar perfecto para que tus hijos interactúen con otros niños..
The staff here is amazing! The Library is huge, and the shelves are ten feet tall. I've spent hours on end here.
Knowledgable and helpful staff, always willing to assist in finding books, cds, etc. Very helpful in the children's section, helping children find age appropriate reading materials. Very pleasant, lots of space to sit and read. A real pleasure to visit. IT section very helpful. And love the fish.
Great place to use the bathroom when you're visiting the record store.
SO MANY BOOKS. Biggest library I've seen and has a cafe in the lobby, an elevator, movie and video game rentals, there is so much! I go there almost every day, and it is a great place to hang out with friends. They also have private rooms where you can work alone or with a group, the have many computers, a computer rental service and a silent room where talking is not allowed.
Excellent venue for the Princeton community. A diversity of offerings in addition to a great book collection. Often very crowded and hard to find a spot to sit and work.
They had a nice balcony there and it seemed like a big place and had bathrooms to use. Everyone is always eating ice cream in princeton
What a gem! I could spend hours here (and do!). This library is one of the biggest perks of living in Princeton. It is very family friendly, the coffee shop is great, and so many bright places to sit and read. Wish there were more libraries like this.
I pay to use this library because the Trenton Public Library is extremely outdated & just irrelevant! This library is bright & welcoming. The children's selection is amazing with even some rare finds & the fact that you can check out unlimited books is beyond awesome! I will renew my membership every year unless I move out of the area! =)
Beautiful, clean, multilevel space. Updated for the 21st century. Very open, kid friendly.
Really large. A relatively quiet place to work.
excellent community library. you need to live to get library card in princeton township
Went to Meetup meeting there. Looks like a great atmosphere and collection avialble. What better place to learn in PRinceton. There are many events there for students and the Public. Thank you.
Very good library. And for Princeton residents free! Very big selection of different books/dvds/ cds...My favourite is the first floor, where you can sit and study!
rude people at cafeteria
Very clean and peaceful. The staff is very polite and helpful with many questions arose to them. Public restrooms are available, as well as parking spaces beside the building. Drop box for returns on the outside closest to the parking lot for those who may need to use it. Also have a computer lab downstairs. They host events quite often, just pick up one of the printed calendars at the main desk for information.
Well equipped library. Do check out the activities/ events conducted in this library, they are pretty interesting
I go here, with my Uncle. He frequents this Library quite often! My 1st time here, was a year ago, my
As nice a town library as you could find anywhere. Large collection, and they will order essentially anything you request. A great children's floor with a fish tank. Good meeting spaces available to the public and many excellent programs and presentations.
A really outstanding library! Beautiful and a nice selection of books.
The atmosphere is amazing. So comfortable. I'd buy a house like this if I could
10/10 great for learning
Good place to be
Great library, just redid the second floor - looks great!
Great experience overall, though the beer menu was very limited.
Great library..in the center of town..cafe is one of the best kept secrets in Princeton
The Princeton Public Library is one of the nicest libraries I've ever been too; my husband, daughter, and I are lucky enough to have it located locally. The selection, both in-building and online, rivals the nearby book stores. The community activities, including a read/sign aloud for parents and children under three, make the local library a regular hot-spot and gathering point week in and week out. With the culmination of friendly staff and readily available, contemporary resources, this library is a cultural and social epicenter of Princeton, WV.
Very small selection of books. Bad service.
The library has many good books for all levels to read
This is the best library I have been to outside a large city.
