Most,( except maybe 3 people i guess) staff are rude to kids and in general and go as far as to call the police on them when they hang outside, food isnt allowed AT ALL, which is so unnecessary, you cant even have water. Anything you have cant even be in SIGHT, you have to eat outside, rain or shine. So when kids hang outside to eat, they might be kicked to curb if a few other are a being rowdy outside. When me and my friends were there this lady kept walking by us, complaining about little things like my friend standing or us moving empty chairs to sit together. I understand not being able to play music but sometimes the attitudes from staff could save trouble entirely. Lastly, theres been past history of staff getting kids banned and threatening kids. This library calls schools and teachers. So if your child is near some who are loud, they should watch out for staff possibly getting them called to the office at school. They have good books though. And a nice kiddy section.

The library has a wide and great selection of books. I've been going here for the last 6 years and its never lost it charm. Late evenings are also ideal if you want some peace and quiet. Generally, its a very good library.

It is noisy I tried studying but can't so what's the point of going here kids are yelling staff even more loud just stay home and study I bet it is more quite there just do not come please

This library loses the meaning of the word It is good until the kids come flooding in and treat it like a play ground. Daily these kids flood in Carrying on noisily making it hard for quiet studying, if young adults don’t respect the library then they have no business to be there. It is not a corner place where they hang and chat!!!! Why is this happening??? Some ground rules have to be set and if they aren’t kept then they shouldn’t be allowed in....

This library sucks. Many of the employes are rude and act as if they don't want to be there, and they are only open every other Saturday but never tell you when.

I hate how you always have to bring your card. The Cranford library let's you take books out without a card, you just have to say your name. And they do this thing where you can just print papers out for free as long as it's for school.

Worst staff ever, please do yourself a favor and go to the Rahway Library instead not only are the chairs comfier, the space is bigger, food allowed, and it has a better view...BUT above all you won’t be mistreated. The linden librarians are simply busy bodies with bad attitudes.
