Very new and modern facility. It contains a sizable space for younger learners and plenty of computer access on the 2nd floor, as well as free WiFi throughout. There's a small cafe as you enter but the food isn't particularly tasty. The only issue you may have is finding a quiet study space. Because of the proximity to the high school, after about 2pm the space gets very busy and quiet study rooms are almost impossible to come by. Otherwise, it's an excellent resource.

I recently got a Novi Library card and have been trying to learn more about what the community offers. I emailed Information Services to learn more about one of the adult library programs being offered and whether it was what I was looking for. The contact for the program (Thank you again Hillary!) got back to me within 24 hours letting me know what the program was about and provided three other amazing online resources (I assume she did some research before getting back to me because the resources were well written and covered the topic well) I was unaware about that could help because it was unlikely the program was what I was I needed. This is the definition of quick, friendly, and helpful service. Thanks so much, Hillary and Novi Public Library. I really appreciate the well-thought out and thorough response I received.

Great facilities and services: the furniture is comfortable, nice independent rooms for meetings, cozy reading rooms, the kids section is full of resources, adequate chairs and tables for the number of users, 2D and 3D printing services, the second floor is quiet and ideal for telecommute, the music, video and book collections are plenty of goodies, thenenciclopedias and over sized books are awesome, fast internet, clean bathrooms.

I'm all about socializing and enjoying your job while you're at work, but I have never been in a library (ever) where the staff was as loud as the Novi public library. People come to the library to read, do work, and study and I understand that there are private rooms for those who like it to be nice and quiet, but loud, public, non-work relevant discussions should be either toned down a notch or left for the break room. First and last time visiting this library.

Terrific library. The most extensive dvd and blue ray selection, and always free unless turned in late. And even new movies can be kept a week. The book selection is about average. I'll usually pick up the books at my local library. 4 self serve check out stations and can check out movies and books on cd. Did I mention a substantial book on cd collection too. Also 2 or 3 to check you if you prefer.

Worst Ever

Don’t expect great customer service, a smile or friendliness from the young Asian guy working at the snack shop in the library. He hid behind the counter as another customer and I were looking for assistance. He actually rolled his eyes and gave stank face when the guy behind me rang the bell for service. He didn’t give stank face to the guy who actually rang the bell he was decidedly rude to me... even mocking me as I walked away. Guess you can’t find good help anywhere. ************************** Please FOIA Novi police report number 19-2033 to clearly see that you leave your children here at your own risk. Although the librarians in the children/teen sections truly care about the young patrons, the Director, Julie Farkas, does not empower the librarians with the ability to create a completely safe environment free of unwanted and inappropriate adult attention. Recently a backgammon-playing smooth operator tried to befriend and convince minors to leave with him by allowing him to give them a ride home, etc. I highly encourage parents to actively participate in Library Board meetings in an effort to better protect children/teens. As a concerned patron intervening to protect children/minors I was dismissed and disrespected by the Director via putting her hand up and making statements as “do nothing” and “don’t get involved”... And all I did was request that she contact the police and have the creepy guy removed. **UPDATE** Creepy guy is named Anthony Mangiaracina. Google his name and he seems to always be getting in trouble for trying to lure children to get into his vehicle. Director Julie Farkas lacks the common sense necessary to listen to patrons who clearly state “CALL THE POLICE” because children are at risk. Even most idiots know to call the police first and ask questions later when the safety of minors is a concern.

Great library with great resources! Building is new and well-kept. There are plenty of study rooms and tables with access to power outlets. I would have given it five stars, but when school gets out the library can become very crowded. Also, turning left onto Ten Mile Rd to leave can be very dangerous and nearly impossible most hours of the day, and there is no other entrance to the library.

Nice library building and people. Staff are just Okay. However, avoid library cafe at all costs. Super expensive items and owner is not nice. Go to the library; just stay away from that cafeteria.

I love to go to the novi library whenever I need a good! They always have the book I am looking for and the librarians are very helpful and nice.

My experiences have been perfect here. My kids can play downstairs with puppets, or I can go upstairs where there’s a professional, academic-like culture. We’re very happy with our public library.

Love this library especially the adult section which is extremely quiet. Librarians are always helpful. And the library has several activities a month covering a variety of topics. Most are free to attend. Great selection of the newest books. I visit quite often.

A wonderful and beautiful library. We couldn't ask for more. A place to find books, study, read quietly, find a peaceful spot to work... it has it all. Everyone would learn to love libraries if they were all like this.

This library is top notch. My kids enjoy the play area and tablets. There is a beautiful outside patio and free WiFi. You can also check out a hot spot for 7 days. A lot of free programs including Lego building, educational shows and movies.

Lots of parking spots. Beautiful library. Well maintain. There is and small cafe selling food and beverage. There are several study rooms. Many computers with kids games. Nicely done in the kids section. Not only books but games and toys. Totally kids paradise! Love the self check out. No waiting needed. Very users Friendly. There are still staffs behind the counter for customer service. They are very helpful and Friendly. This is and great place for kids. Very educational and entertaining!
