I visit this library several times a month, and I enjoy the selection of Michigan-related books. Bright and quiet, and this would be a great place to spend time researching. My one beef is that whenever I check out a book, the employee always has to open the checkout software. It's a library! Have a machine with that software already open.

I come back here time and time again. This library not only has amazing resources for genealogy and history, they've got a smart, quick thinking staff who are keen to try and help you solve your mysteries. The Michigan Genealogical Council does seminars here twice a year, and I try to go whenever I can. It is well worth the trip.
