Since I moved to Flint, the Flint Public Library has been at the center of my life. I used all the services to homeschool my children, and they learned to read from books from the library. Now, that I drive quite a bit, I still use the books on tape and Master Classes in the car. The library has an excellent collection, specially if you are a homeschooler.

Flint really does have a very nice library. It has a great collection of books. If you need to use internet, they have a fair amount of computers available for the public. Friendly/helpful staff. I never attended any of the classes/events but they often have things available for the public for all ages. Hours can sometimes be tricky but it is understandable given the city's financial problems. The one recommendation I would possibly give is have more comfortable chairs throughout the library to do some reading in. But I do enjoy going there and am thankful it is part of our city.

I returned the books to the drop off box they have on the outside by the street yesterday and they are saying that I owe a fine and I still have the books! Please check your drop off box outside! I am not going to pay a fine for books that I already have dropped off to you!

Great Library. Easy to locate materials I want, including books, cds, books on cd, movies, research material. Large selection. Great programs, including concerts. I like the location in the cultural center.

Great place to hang out and read. The books are organized and they have a search computer to see if the book you want is in the library and where it's at if it is. They have a good selection and if the book isn't in or isn't at their branch they will put in a request to have the book shipped to them or put you on the list to check out the book.

Wonderful experience. Calm and organized, friendly, helpful staff. Great kids area, also. Well stocked on books for the adult reader, study-er, researcher, book nerd (me). This library is great.

This library has a nice group of people working here. They have free movies to check out and computers for public use. Clean restrooms. Space for reading and many public events. I would recommend this library to everyone. The hours are kind of strange so check and make sure that they are open before your visit.

Its a library quiet, clean and full of info as well as helpful librarians. Theres stuff on the weekend for kids and the greater flint african american sports hall of fame is located on the lower level.

I'm glad to see that this library is usually busy. They have two floors and a lot of material. You can rent books, music CDs and DVDs (also some VHS tapes are still on the shelves). We frequently see groups giving presentations near the front. We love this library!

I love this library. It is a two story building with tons of books, both older hard to find titles as well as contemporary works. I have spent many many happy hours there reading and researching. The library staff is always very friendly and helpful.

The best library in the Flint area! Even when its full of people its always quiet! There's a kid section on the first floor which is very helpful when I need to do things there.
