REVIEWS OF Franklin Public Library IN Massachusetts

Abby Ericson

This library seems to have ton of resources. A wide selection of books! They also offer CDs, DVDs, blue ray, and books on CD. They have several computers for use and even a reference librarian to help with research. All of the librarians area friendly and helpful. The space is also clean. My only complaint is that I wish they were open just a little more. Especially on Sundays.

Vijay Gupta

Love the selection of Books, DVDs, Audio Books and the events which takes place through out the year

The worst library in the Milwaukee county system. Nice building, which they are oh SO proud of, but paltry collection. Staff is smug, rude and unhelpful. Fee policy is a joke, and must be how they pay for their building. Backward suburban library with a provincial attitude and outlook. Will never use this library again. Too many other, better choices.

Okay place for studying though it can still be really loud and there is one librarian who always has an attitude for absolutely no reason what so ever (I will be nice and not reveal the person's name). There is not a wide selection of books that are available in this library either.

The new addition really positions the library as the center of the community. They are doing a great job evolving to meet the needs of the community and adapt for the future.

Clean and organized, not a huge selection though

Great selection of books and programs. My children and I particularly enjoy preschool storytime and seeing very young children encouraged to explore books and social interaction. Plenty of space in north wing for adults in need of a quiet space and south wing for parents to take their children.

Delightful Library! I've had the pleasure of performing here twice and both times have been great. Architecture is pretty interesting and the staff is friendly and helpful. Worth a visit.

A great mix of old and new. Worth stopping in for both local history and library services. The library has a good selection of books and multi-media and host numerous community events on a weekly and monthly basis. Most items they dont have on the shelves can be ordered easy through the library network. Also, the original collection of books donated by Benjamin Franklin are on display and worth looking at.

I love the Franklin Public Library! It is clean, organized, and has a wide variety of books, movies, computers and programs. The staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and very community oriented.

Tammy Becker

Frequently noisy with smaller children coming and going with their caregivers. Library staff does nothing to keep it quiet.

This place is amazing. My children love it.

Hajra Maqsood

Very loud and noisy, not a good enviroment for studying or reading. Dogs were allowed inside which is terrible since there was constant noise and loud barking the whole time I was there. Barked at everyone leaving and entering the library. It was the most absurd thing ever. Very unpleasant experience.

Absolutely the best library in Massachusetts! !!

By far the noisiest library I've ever been to. The 4th flr. claims to be a quiet study area except there is almost always some form of construction going on, or there are people who come to tour the library that gawk at you while trying to get work done. The reading room is also a complete joke, noise travels throughout the building and echos in there. And heaven forbid you close the door in the study area on the ground level (it's a glass door by the way) to try to block out some of the noise of loud patrons. If you're looking for a QUIET place to study or do work visit another location, the beauty of the building doesn't make up for the annoyance or aggravation.

Mike Horton

Great selection of books, and a great network of libraries!

Bill Martin

I have only been there once or twice, but the new building is beautiful! When you walk around, the chairs are positioned so you feel like you could sit down at any point and start reading.

If you want to go somewhere where you have no grace on any late fees no matter how sick you are , you are charged $14 for a $7 children's book your 2 year old made marks one 1 page ( when we have checked out far worse!) and like rude letter of the law librarians.....this is your place! I now know how they are funding a new building and a remodel on the kids section desk in a brand new building! Beautiful building, horrible service!

This is THE SMALLEST library ever! As a library-lover, it was interesting to see this place. For the size, there seemed to be a decent amount of books, magazines, etc, and they even had a row of computers for the public to use (4, I think). However, the atmosphere seemed almost sterile, with the entire inside painted in white. Not a very "cozy" place, but perhaps helpful to local residents.

not much of a selection but untouched by time.

More than a place to borrow books, CDs, or movies. You can get help with your technology questions, use a room for study, participate in kids, teen, and adult programs, or relax in a comfy chair. Borrow a laptop or use a desktop computer. There's also a nice patio for quiet outdoor reading. More than what you'll find at most libraries and continually growing.
