Fantastic facility. Just voted as one of the best small libraries in America (again!). The reading room is like something from a movie. The children's area is great and has much to offer. There's always something going on, so check the website for information. Also, the library website has discount passes for local museums and zoos.

The grounds are very pretty. Small fountain and pool, bocce court, stone steps. Great place to walk around after spending tine inside.

Bad hours. What's with the shopping mall hours, opening at 10am? You'd think the town library would be open, you know, by 8am, 9am at the latest? Just wasted a trip from the farthest corner in town to find out they don't open for another 1.5 hours. What a pain..

Great for young and old. A bit exclusive feeling but otherwise nice.

The dumpster is actually cleaner than the pond itself...

One of the best small libraries in the country. The building itself is an architectural treasure, they've recently renovated the grounds including an outdoor stage and a bocci court. And the have excellent lectures and films almost every night of the week.

Small, but the staff is very friendly.

Ames Free Library is a hidden gem in historic North Easton, MA. It is a beautiful example of the architecture of HH Richardson. The library was built by the Ames family as a gift to the town of Easton.

This place is very nice! Really neat architecture and seems to have a sizeable selection of content. I had engagement pictures done here with my fiance and the staff was super nice and helpful. They didn't even charge for doing pictures! I would still recommend a donation since the staff are wonderful people who helped us a lot. The grounds are what sets this library apart. There are many nice libraries out there but not many have the kind of landscaping this one has. Great for relaxing outside with a book.

The Queset House, a property owned by and right next door to the Ames Library, is a beautiful place to host an event! I attended a bridal shower there in September 2011 and was very impressed with the space provided for the party. The gardens are very well kept, and the house is spectacular. Everything is fully period and well restored if not original. The library may be the last place you'd think of to host an event, but this one is a great value for a lovely, first-rate location. And, you're supporting a great community landmark, too!
