Nice and clean Library. Atmosphere is great to spend quality reading. Downstairs is mainly for kids. Kids can make use of the seperate rooms for playing on hourly basis on prior booking.

A pretty big library in two floors. This location is one of my favorite library in washington DC area. It was two quiet study rooms. Also, the rest of the second floor is still quiet with good atmosphere for study. Clean area. The restroom is clean as well. There is a huge parking lot in front of the library as well. It’s easy to access in normal traffic and close to many restaurants and fast foods for a quick bite. The free wifi is available as well.

Pros: This is a nice library in general. I like the children’s area in particular. 1. There are a variety of children’s books and lots of events. 2. The two discovery rooms have lots of toys. The toys are being updated. 3. There is a corner with some toys to attract kids. Cons: 1. Staff sometimes are very IMPATIENT and IMPOLITE. For example, they eagerly want you to leave at closing time. My kid had to finish something (you know, kids have a reputation for not obeying rules) at closing time. Two staff came to tell me “You HAVE TO leave” at different times. When we left, it was TWO MINUTES past closing time. 2. The rules about discovery room are too strict. My reservation was cancelled just several minutes after the starting time of my reserved hour. 3. Staff can be gone from their desk for a LONG time. You may have to wait for 20 minutes to ask a very simple question. And, there is no sign to tell you when they will be back.

There's an issue with theft at Germantown Library so don't look away from your belongings because you'll be responsible for anything that gets stolen. Also the private quit rooms are only available for two hours a day that's not enough time for most of us.

Germantown Library librarians, especially at the information desk, are very helpful. If you can't find a book they are always willing to direct you. I love the computerized hold-a-book system -- I don't know if the other Maryland Counties offer this feature and I find it very convenient.

so bad. internet service is pool and have limited time. the library has to open longer than right now. time is too limited, so i can't stay up for a long time. i hope they open longer during the weekend.

Many homeless people are sleeping in the library... and bad internet connection. internet is most critical problem in this library. every time when i use my labtop in the library, the internet often disconnected for women's restroom, no bath room paper towel. the employee never stock paper towel .

Nice library overall, with catalog computers, info desks, study/private rooms, and digital checkout systems. Can be confusing to find books, but there are librarians to help.

Who can be salty to library. They are kind and great. Sooo many books, videos and contents are there. One thing greatest I have been experienced is a viwe. You can enjoy an arts of nature.

the stuffs are very friendly and helpful all the time for that i say 5stars. the reason i am giving 2 stars is because it’s always cold in here even though i wear pants and long sleeves still it’s cold and my kids always complain about how cold it is inside. i do dress them like a winter when i come to library. but when you set for hours and hours in a one place trying to studies the cold gets on my way. my hands and feet get so cold feel like bringing blankets with my next time when i come here. other than that this library is amazing

Nice private meeting room setup on the lower level, which is accessible from the rear lot. Unfortunately, we had issues with the technology setup (no sound with DVD) and no one at the library seemed to know how to help.

Love this branch! Clean, neat, and the staff is always very helpful. Plenty of computers to go around and quiet spaces to work or read. I love that the children's area is separated on different floor to keep things quiet for adults.

Love this library! Has so many programs for babies, totts, kids, teens, adults, and seniors. I used to come here with my daughter to Baby Story time when she was an infant. They also have Toddler Story time. Its free and you don't need to register or sign up. Just show up on time and have fun with your baby. They also have a huge study room which is perfect to host a small class session or for school group projects. However if you want those rooms, you have to call the library in advance to book the room. They have a kids and baby section on the bottom floor, teenage section on the middle floor, and adults section at the top floor. The top floor has a lot of computers, desks, and quiet study rooms. If you need to print paper here, you better have your wallet since it does cost a few cents. The top floor also has some homeless people that come by just to stay until it closes, so be careful where you sit and keep hand sanitizer with you. There's also a lady who seems deaf at the front desk since she talks like she's learning to speak. It's really hard to understand her.
