Nice library. This newly constructed library is well organized with plenty of natural light, a number of computers, books, magazines, and other facilities. The staff are always helpful and courteous. There is a coffee shop, which I have not used. They also organize several events and short sessions useful to the users. Only problem I have is that I do not find many books on Structural Engineering, which is my specialty.

This is the place to be. Lots if open spaces, private rooms and even offers movie CDs for FREE rental. Really like the open atmosphere. Not surprising this place gets crowded quickly. Highly recommend!

We typically go there because it's convenient. But beware of Effy the lady at information. She is so mean to everyone, adults and children. I'm not sure why but she was so rude to my family and myself. She was rolling her eyes because we were checking in for the library bucks and she couldn't figure out how to do it without a library card present. She should not be welcoming people with a sour face like that. We had a hard time enjoying our time.

Great Library, I recommend the Non-Fiction books Section there are very Priceless book wich turn on the knoledge in you head, and I also recomend some novels of fiction and non-ficiton, as Lord Of the Ring, they have it and many more like this style.

I am a resident of Gaithersburg and use the library often and have always been very pleased with their many services. Today I left my phone at the library with driver's license and credit cards. Two hours later I panic when I could not find it. I contacted the library and they were able to access their email in which there was a message informing all staff that the cellular was secure in their safe. I was so grateful to the person who turned it in, and very pleased with their organized and professional manner in which they handle situations like this.

This library is the epitome of class and service. The books are always in good condition and are divided into sections that are easy to find and appeal to different groups. The library is well tended for and the staff is amazing.

Great staff, Great Library. Computers are good with a good connection, nice places to study and plenty of books to read. Staff aren't racist to my knowledge, and as a black woman I think that'd be the first thing to stand out. I think the earlier comment claiming that their racist is probably from a crazy person, because they didn't give anything other than slander. If there was an incident, then I feel bad for her. But I don't think so.

As a Gaithersburg Resident I am pleased with theDistribution and Organization of Library overall. My serious recomendation will be to direct those children around 11 + years, to seat in the Children's or Youth section instead of the Adult and Young Adult Computer section. Please, do something about it in a consistent and once and for all basis. Thank you!!

I haven't been here for a while because it isn't located near my city, but whenever I make a trip here, it is always pleasant. The library always has the book that I want, so I recommend coming here.

The library as a whole is much better and more comfortable than the old library, there is more work space to get work done with your laptop and plenty of outlets. The most space in the county. However, somehow the men's restroom is much worse than the old one. Its small, cramped, not very clean and has foul odor.

I like this place because I've got a lot of my school assignments done. But however, I'm sorry but do not trust your daughters in this library. I was being harassed by a man and it creeped me out, I reported it to the people at reference but they didn't do anything about it because they said they could not. They got the manager to come to me, the manager made me talk about it in front of all the guests which got a lot of attention and I don't like to get attention because of my anxiety. But the stupid manager didn't do anything. What kind of bs and isn't the library supposed to be a safe educative place ? I did also tell the employees that I will not be returning because I no longer feel safe and they couldn't even do anything. They did not care. And by the way the manager has the nastiest attitude.

This is the best looking library I have ever seen in Montgomery County. I wish all other libraries would be built the same. I feel more motivated to visit the library. I feel I want to live there. This building has something special, hard to describe. I am not an architect, but I feel the builders put their heart and minds to come out like this. The staff have been very pleasant and professional. Keep it that way!

Beautiful, very new library (NOT at the Lakeforest Mall as Google Map suggests). Adorable section of children's books that encourages reading right at the library. To the reviewer that can't remember due dates or handle late fees: seriously?? (How do you manage the rest of your life?) Online library system provides email due-date reminders and lets you renew several times with the click of a button.

I teach a student here. The staff is extremely helpful. When my student had an issue with another patron, they bent over backwards to let her know they took her concern seriously,and wanted to ensure her safety and comfort while at the library.

Love this library! It houses different areas for different needs. Quiet reading, computer, children's area, different nooks, etc... Parking is convenient and all around the building. If you have a low emissions vehicle you have preferred parking right outside the front door. There's a cafe right before you walk into the main library, Montgomery college has a convenient community resource office right upstairs where they do classes and so forth. Employees are knowledgeable and the library is organized and clean. I am a full time student and this is where I study almost every day. 180 degree difference from the old library. Great job MC! My tax dollars put to great use!

Gaithersburg library is much better than any other library I've been to. Comfortable chairs, friendly workers and just a calm relaxing environment with well running computers, large selection of books and PLENTY of wall chargers to fill your battery charging hearts desires! Exceptionally nice facility. However, recently there has been some internet work being conducted and i'm not sure if the download speeds were intentionally throttled to 3-5 Mbps because video steaming is a hog, however upload speed is 65-80Mbps, typically those are flipped. Or there could be intentional QOS parameters, or just a bad day...

This library is wonderful. I love the children’s discovery rooms. The variety and volume of children’s books and movies is large. My only complaints are: 1. Parking is a nightmare. The parking lot is always packed. Even in the middle of a weekday. 2. You cannot check your own books out at a computer, like many of the MOCO libraries. Which creates a line at times.
