This specific library has officially reopened as of September 11, 2015 after approximately 3 years of renovations/expansion. I've been going to this library since my childhood and the facility has been massively upgraded and is a modern, 21st century library facility which I am very proud that it's in my community. There's windows that surround the front and sides of the library that lets in natural light, over 50 computers connected to the internet and of course, tons of books available to be checked out, there's even now movies available to check out at an additional charge. Books are free to check out. One new thing is a self-checkout kiosk that lets you totally skip the circulation desk for check-out, you just go to the kiosk, scan your library card, place your books in the specified area, the book titles will show up on the screen and if they have any holds or if they can be checked out, you touch "Checkout" and a thermal printer prints out a receipt-sized piece of paper that shows the specific due dates for each title you check out. There's plenty of comfortable seating and tables. There's even private study rooms that's new. The library even has free Wi-Fi and available electrical outlets for public usage so people can use it to charge their phone batteries or their tablet/laptop batteries. This library is very awesome and should be visited.

Update: February 23, 2019. I come to the Waverly Branch of the Ench Praatt Free Library a few times a week for the last year and sit quietly and politely in the chairs while I use the WiFi and to study for my Hopkins classes. The short lady guard (black, for physical discription purposes) just aggressively slapped the back of my chair and said you can't wear a hood in here, I wear a hoodie with a hood because half of my hair is falling out because of cancer. This experience was very humiliating for me, having to take off my hoodies hood and expose me patchy hair in front of everyone. The guys next to me is wearing a hat. Do they think people with hoods are criminals? Nobody injoys being treated like a criminal. I will not be back to this library because of the way I was treated. Could someone please tell this security gaurd in a nice way to use discretion in the library policies or not have meaningless discremitory clothing policies in the first place. If I was a female or male with long hair that was around my head like a hoodie hood would they be told to leave? No one should have to go through what I just did and be made to feel like a criminal. I'm very hurt and and upset. I'm outside on the corner now shaking and crying. Update: November 2018. There are two people a young male and female that have been talking extremely loud for fifteen minutes and not one of the staff and security is saying anything to them. Is it because they are scared if them?! This is a library. I'm infuriated by the staff and securities lack or professional and care. This isn't a club or a bar or gym class. Disruptive people should be talked to or removed from the library. ------- This library was just completely remodeled a couple years ago. Everything is new. My favorite thing about this library is the extremely comfy lounge chairs. The chair have two build in electrical sockets on the side of each chair! This is the first time I’ve seen anything like this! There is always room for everyone in the chairs whenever I go. They are less than a third filled up every time I go. The bathroom are modern and clean. The librarians are professional, friendly, and extremely intelligent. I just moved here from NYC. I wish NYC had library’s like this, modern and comfortable. There is a security guard here walks around every now and then. I accidentally fell asleep when he woke me up he asked if I was okay. I appreciate security that is friendly and caring like him. Mean security can really ruin a persons day, well mean anyone. I am homeless at the moment and go hear every day to charge my phone and fill out applications on my phone on the WiFi which is fast and reliable by the way. The con is I wish they didn’t have weird hours and close so early. I wish the closed at 8pm every day instead of only two days a week on Monday and Thursday.

Very nice facility. Safe area. Wonderful children section. I never have to wait for a computer. Can be very quiet. Security tends to lurk may seem a bit creepy but I'm assuming he is doing his job. I enjoy this library with its weird open and closing times.

The renovations have truly rejuvenated the library. It still feels like a neighborhood library, which is awesome. So many resources are available through the library, making it a true hub for the community.

I like this library you have unlimited time on the computer I just don't like people watching me in the bathroom stall in the women's bathroom makes me feel very uncomfortable they have done this also at Central library downtown that's why I stopped going over there the woman security guard is very helpful and She's a sweetheart I really like this library been going here for years now I like when the church's come down and have there giveaways it helped me alot

Its great library. They have good amount of computers along with adult and children sections. But you have to log in to be assigned to a computer when their is no available computers. They have quiet room, study room, and other rooms as well. Furthermore they have kids section for storytime, furniture and tables with plug in them, and self check section. Lastly have information section ( library compass, information about the community, etc)It's a very nice upgrade. I hope this helps.
