You cannot be productive in this place filled with loud homeless and rowdy children

They have a kids workshop for $12 on Sunday and my 5 year old boy loves it. They have creative workstations and he learns science while having fun.

Ok library. Has a humongous kids section! It does smell like pee. It's musty. The facility is aging. Chairs are uncomfortable. Not the best place for getting work / study done.

Good library. It's always full of people looking to learn, a staff looking to help, and plenty of computers as well. The place smells a bit like pee, but you'll get used to that in a minute and be on your way.

I love this library, which has some of the most helpful librarians ever. When I presented a memoir-writing workshop here, the participants bonded so well that the workshop continued for months (which the library was happy with--that's why they asked for it!). We met in the basement and were often tempted to join the kids next door in the Kids Museum, because they were so animated and having such a great time -- learning about science through interesting hands-on activities. I have never been in the library when the computers weren't being used by at least half a dozen people, with some tables occupied by adults tutoring (I am assuming) English as a second language adult learners. Davis is the kind of library for which the "I love my library" bumper sticker was invented.

Since the library was renovated, it doesn't smell musty anymore. It's usually really quiet and the kids section is really big. Lots of comfortable spaces to read. It also looks pretty new and shiny (on the inside, at least) thanks to the renovation.

As a NYC native, this is probably the best library I've ever been to. It's very modern, well organized and the staff is incredibly helpful and kind.

This is a very best library full of public involvement. Though we see children and cry or shouting infrequently, the users are all focused min reading. I like their management, wish to be linked at all times.

All the basic services a library needs, check out, computers, holds, but not a lot of privacy in work space. There are two collaboration rooms, you can reserve in advance for more privacy. There is free parking around the library.

I visit this library only for the kids program. The facilitator behaves like a strict disciplinarian refusing to let my 2 year have his pretzel snack, causing him to have a meltdown, insisting that no eating is allowed in the library. I've been around libraries in Montgomery county, and no facilitator has been this strict. It's impossible for me to bring my kid to this library as snacking is the only way to keep him quiet and participate. So the lady conducting the program is not kid friendly at all, compared to the other ones I've seen in other libraries. The program run is also dry, so go to Potomac, Kensigngton and Rockville libraries instead for more kid friendly staff.

The Montgomery County library system is wonderful, and the Davis branch is no exception! The librarians here are helpful and patient.

People are mean, or at least the ones that speak English, the young skinny Asian who works there is especially mean. Ordered books on hold online and nothing. Inside looks ok tho. When you go, just assume all the women there are on their periods.

This isn’t my favorite MoCo library. Positives: Lots of parking. Good location. You can check out your own books, freeing up the people at the desk. Negatives: - I wish that the Kids area was a bit more closed off. It’s awkward taking younger children to this library because the Kids area is right next to the public work computers. I think that this library could really use a discovery room, like many of the other MoCo libraries have. - I’ve seen a librarian get visibly angry because someone asked them to check out their books the conventional way. Which is just silly.
