REVIEWS OF LSU Libraries IN Louisiana

Not such a great library to boast about. Compared to the libraries that other universities have this is relatively small, requires remodeling. It is so small that it can't accommodate the students during the exams time. Moreover the toilets are never maintained.

Club Middleton

Андрей Зиновьев

Comfortable atmosphere and a good book selection.

Always a great experience a huge amount of resources love it

This library by no means is a public library. Internet access is not available for non LSU students. Also there is no way to take a printout at the library. To borrow a book, you require a credit card.

This library is AWFUL! Why is the wood paneling still here? Why are the toilets always overflowing with urine, vomit, semen, or a combination of the three? Every day when i walk into this library my day get a little worse. Actually, it gets a lot worse. If the devil had a favorite library, it would be this library. This library is the meeting place for all my least favorite people in this world. In order to make this library less atrocious, I challenge F. King Alexander to supply me with all the free monster I desire, therapy dogs on standby 24/5, and nicer security guards. All in all, 5/5 would come here again.

While I go to LSU, I've visited numerous universities in the state and out-of-state, public and private, big and small and it's ridiculous how outdated and poor maintained this library is. Other universities have up-to-date libraries with a variety of amenities and options for students. The student workers act as you'd expect - chit-chatty and useless for anything beyond asking where the bathroom is. Speaking of the bathrooms...avoid them.

This place is nice for studying however be prepared for it to be loud on the 1st-2nd floors. Also it is always 60°F for some reason so if you dont have: a jacket, sweatpants, gloves, a beanie, a personal heater, and can burst into flames to cool off then you can only study at max 3 hours in here before your hands become overly cold to write/type anymore.

Extremely outdated... smells, and overcrowded

Michel Singler

Good privacy on the fourth floor and a wide variety of pre-2000’s books

César Fernández

The toilets are ALWAYS overflowing and there's urine all over the floor. It's gross. The computers are really slow and some of them don't even work. The first floor is open 24/5. If you stay after midnight, you will have to deal with the loud, obnoxious, non-educated people who are talking all the time like this was a bar. Y'all need to do yalls coke in TigerLand, not Middleton. This library is a joke.

I'm describing my experience as a student seeking a quiet place to study and do homework: if you plan on going to the first floor to do homework in a quiet environment, don't. It's never quiet at all and people (excluding the IT desk) talk at normal volumes to each other and on the phone for hours at a time. The desktop keyboards and mice have never been cleaned before, even superficially. The IT desk and front desk are helpful but the printing area is usually filled with workers who are unwilling to help and never stop small-talking to each other. I can't imagine trying to read a book in this library.

Pretty spacious library , however it need some remodeling. I do like the CC's coffee. Hours are good though.

Aaron McCloud

I am a senior student, and the LSU library has needed remodeling since before I came here. Other universities seem to take pride in their libraries. Our schools' lack of care for the library makes us look bad, sadly.
