This is my favorite library in Kansas City, KS. The staff is always super helpful. The children's library is decorated nicely and always very encouraging to helping kids read. They usually have some activity going on there that's interesting such as ACT testing. I always feel safe here. Recently they had a fine amnesty where they were waiving fees if you brought in things to donate for homeless teens. I think that's awesome. They have a good section of music and DVDs. I certainly appreciate the fact that you can put the books on hold and they'll have them pulled for you. They used to hold them behind the desk but they now have a spot by the self check out so you can do it yourself. They put the new books in a section up at the front so you can easily go through them. They also have a section for Young Adult readers that has a lot of good books. I love the fact that they separated them out from the kids. They have a few chairs to lounge in right by that area to encourage the kids to get lost in a book. I really appreciate it. They usually have a trivia question up at the front desk. I've never gotten it right lol but I love that they put it up there. It's a really solid spot. I appreciate it a lot.

I'm not sure why someone would say it is not kid friendly. we go to baby time every week and we just love it. this is a great library.

I've been going to this library since I was a kid, and I'm 40 years old. I've always had great experiences there and they have a lot of great events for the community. It was built many years ago and still looks like a state of the art facility.

Helpful service. Ive been going here since I was a little girl. Huge anime selection for the dweebs like me. Lots of dvds and Cds. Like I said. Lots of Anime and Manga.

Thrilled to take child to first ever visit to the library, a place I spent my childhood. However, we had a horrendous and disheartening interaction with the library/its staff that ruined the visit. Will never return as it is another reminder of why Wyandotte County has such a negative reputation.

I was there for a meeting last night and my son was the moderator. He had to head off to another meeting at a church. He asked me if I could remove the drinks and snacks from the meeting room and shut the door. I didn't know if he had paid for the room or it was free. There was a couple people still in the meeting room talking so I kindly asked if they could continue their conversation outside the room so I could remove snacks and shut the door to the meeting room. The lady security guard whom had nothing to do with our meeting told them they did not have to leave and they could stay in there and talk as long as they needed. She was truly rude and out of place she had nothing to do with our meeting.

I've been coming here my entire life and have always had wonderful experiences. I'm friends with some of the staff, and everyone has always been super helpful when I need brooks for projects or even just to read for fun. And you can't beat their children's programs for some free fun!

I love how kid friendly this library is. We take our toddler here most Saturdays to pick out new books to read at bedtime for the week. In fact, it's not just a kid friendly library, it's a people friendly library; so long as the people in question are respectful.

Great library! Very kid friendly. I have two kids age 9 and 11 and I have a hard time getting them to leave. The staff is great and so helpful and have really encouraged my kids to read by suggesting new series. My son loves the Zombie Chasers and the creature from my closet. Thanks for recommending them.

This a very nice library a little bit smaller than the other ones but still very nice. They could use a way bigger Blu ray section but still nice. People tend to just leave you alone and if you need help or anything someone will be willing to help you. They have plenty of computers so you will always find one open.

I do not appreciate what you have done to my library. You have automated it and made it sterile. You have replaced people with machines. Someone has likened this to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. This is a very, very bad idea.
