Best Library in Wichita!!! Made me want to get a library card again. Will be coming back all the time

COLD WATER

It was loud in the upstairs computer area, some cornballs were in a room with the door closed and you could still hear them. LOUD LIBRARY! Other than that the building looks good inside and out.

I love the new library. I have been using the genealogy section heavily since day one and just love it. They combined into it the history books which is great. The open spaces and small niches to sit in are terrific. Now my complaint. They are over air conditioning the place. Yesterday I dressed in long sleeves and long pants and still froze. I would like to stay for hours but cant. Please raise the temp.

Came here on Day 1/Grand Opening and I just have to say that this place is simply amazing. Here they have a space for young children to read, a technology room with a 3-D printer, genealogy records, and a panorama view of Wichita from the 2nd floor. Check this place out. You will be amazed!!!

Absolutely beautiful! This place is a revelation for Wichita! There a collaborative spaces, great spaces for rental purposes, a coffee bar, great technology available, so many wonderful reading spaces! Even just to admire the artistic architecture!

The new library has great spaces for work, study, and play. I especially like the Kramer Via wireless system for screen sharing to TVs in the meeting rooms from phones, tablets, and computers. Looking good Wichita!

Great place with great workers. RIDDLED WITH MULTIPLE BED BUG INFESTATIONS IN EVERY DEPARTMENT. Management does nothing. Management does nothing but yell at employees for the managers own shortcommings like an inability to make schedules b4 the work week starts (what i recently overheard). If u r not white straight conservative and wealthy u are not really represented here either.

I miss the old library but this new place is very nice. Even has a coffee shop and a little store to purchase used books, magazines, DVDs and more.

This new library is great. We take the kids each week to read and check out a new book. It's great for spending time together, teaching them responsibility, and a wonderful opportunity to instill the value of a good book on them.

I knew it was going to be good, but I didn't know it was going to be this good. So. Many. Books! The interior design is simply marvelous. I was very much against the new library at first, because the central library has always been special to me, and it really saddens me to see it go. But it's hard to be upset about it when the new one is so awesome!

Everything a library should be. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Several self-checkouts in the 3 main areas. Places to sit and read are everywhere. They have a patio on the 2nd floor that will have places to read also. There are library catalog computers strategically placed throughout the bookshelves. There are computers for internet use and tables with plugins for laptops and tablets. I can see myself spending plenty of time here. Bathrooms are nice and clean as well. There are family restrooms also if needed. Fiction, science fiction, graphic novels, etc are on the first floor to the North. To the South of that area is an entire area dedicated to children. Upstairs, you find all the non-fiction, guides, current events, history, other research books. When you return a book through the slot in the glass, you are able to see the book be scanned and sorted into a bin for processing and reshelving. This library is Awesome!

This place is wonderful. Plenty of space to meet up with people. Also has small nooks for you to be alone. Obviously has all the normal library functions, also has a coffee shop inside. The public library website has also improved a lot so go get some books!
