Not You

I did not enjoy my last experience at this branch. Prior to my last visit I had stopped in to check out some DVDs and pay a $2 fine that I had acquired from returning a DVD too late. Somewhere during the transaction of the $2 fine something was done wrong. Either the librarian did not process it correctly or simply did not process it at all because it still showed on my library account. On my very last visit I went in to check out a book and I was informed that there was a $2 fine on my account. I told the person that was helping me that I had noticed it the last time I logged in to my account and I didn't know why it was still there due to the fact that I had paid it already. I was told that "IF" I had paid it a receipt would have been printed and would have cleared the fine from my account. I could not prove that I had paid it because I could not find the receipt. I did not appreciate the insinuation that I didn't pay something as simple as a $2 fine. They said they would waive the fee but in all actuality I did not need the fee waived because I did pay it and the person that handle my transaction must have done it wrong. In my opinion their attitudes were suggestive of me being dishonest which is what I found to be the most insulting part.

Excellent staff- kind and always extremely helpful. Excellent library system! As a patron for over 40 years- I have never wanted for more services. They’ve always had modern technology and equipment available to use. Our library is a true community center. The only possible improvement I would personally prefer is a partition of the adult area from the children’s section. The one part of yesteryear that I long for is relative silence in the library.
