They closed early for a private event and turned the public away an hour before posted closing times. I was there 2 days earlier and there was nothing posted about closing early today.

I asked for help from three librarians working, all at different areas of the library. Although they very much helped me individually as best as they could, I felt as though they had a bit of an attitude with everyone.

Just make sure to check your books for damages before you check out and borrow them, because they will charge you. If you notice the damage when you get home make sure to call them and let them know. The manager says her staff goes through the books to check for damages before it gets put back on the shelf but I highly doubt that. I was fined 16.99 for something I didn’t do..

Workers are rude and lazy. They should all be fired. I was treated very disrespectful and I felt they were being racist towards my skin color.

I was pregnant, & high risk, so I couldn't walk around much, or stay on my feet long. Many times, 1 of the girls would have me sit down, while they went & found the books I was looking for :) I appreciate everything they did for me, & how kind & patient they were. Thank you Central Branch!

The Librarians are awesome, The computer lab is great, though, you need to stop all the phone conversations where people are soo rude while people are working. I've been to several libraries in the area with inferior equipment, Not here, their equipment is fantastic as are the chairs for long work sessions. Someone complained about losing her project while using a computer, my advice is save it to a flash drive in the future. Also, it is cheaper for prints and services here than at others in the area. It is spacious and beautiful, but due to some rude clientele acting like they're sitting at home while playing on the computer and being loud on their cell phones, is more than annoying. Also, some people tutor kids at the tables, take the kids downstairs to THEIR section please. The security guard is awesome, such a friendly guy, he makes my night most evenings. I don't know who clocks in more time, he or I? lol Overall, a great library. I know of quieter libraries in the area, but I'll keep that secret to myself, as when I need to really study, I choose other locations.

Very nice library. I was impressed. My kid got on top of the Lego table and some young girl working behind the desk scolded her today. I thought it was a bit inappropriate. I was getting out my phone because she had made a friend and I was going to take a picture of them. She probably wasn't even on the table more than a few seconds. I can discipline my own child, thanks.

Lake County Indiana Library system is amazing, and this location has so much, and is so very nice, and has great people to help if you need. Their online services are fantastic as well. If you are living in Lake County and not using this amazing free service you are really missing out.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is nice that eating and drinking are allowed. They have a wide variety of manga to choose from. Plenty of places to go to sit, as well as surge protectors. Generous hours, too.
