Good community location. Helpful staff, but the clientele reflects the rapid decline of the neighborhood. Use of cell phones allowed, loud noise, disrespect and intimidation of staff. Definitely not using "inside voices". More of a hangout than a quiet place to relax.

My nieces and nephews and myself love to come to this library and it's in walking distance of my home,and the staff are very nice

This library is okay and librarians are helpful but it's too small and crowded sometimes and the kids in there are too loud and very disrespectful

It's okay, if you're not looking for anything specific. Very limited on what's there and it's sort if haphazardly arranged. Typical neighborhood library inside the loop.

It would have absolutely been 5 stars... if it weren't for the fact that there's a lot of people on drugs here. The librarians are fantastic. My favorite one is the guy who rides his bike there every day. They're all super friendly, and the library's an extremely safe place to be. For children, and even adults. Its peaceful, and gives a sense of security. Even if you're only there to watch videos on YouTube.... maybe that's why there's lots of homeless...

I live in the West Indy neighborhood, so this library is great for me! I always receive the items I requeat/put on hold. Everyone that works in the library are friendly, and they all know me by name! Puts a smile on my face everytime I go in there!
