I am just in awe of this library. I think I sometimes forget in a digital age how much knowledge exists within a librarians brain. I am sitting here now as I did not have access to a printer. While on the computer, I witnessed a librarian who works at the reference desk named Katie help a man with a research project he is working on. She helped him for upwards of 30 minutes and not once did she seem irritated or annoyed with his questions. She guided him through everything he needed help with and offered him even more tips and tricks. Beyond that, she mentioned a coworker who had similar interests as him who would be a great resource for him. This mans face lit up with excitement. So many people would have been annoyed with the questions, would have brushed them off and quickly answered but she found passion in helping him. I bring my kids here and they love to play. It is always clean and taken care of. They offer a great variety of books. I will continue to come to this excellent library and thank you Katie for restoring my faith in humanity today!!

I love the Irvington Branch Library, because it's quiet and the branch has good computers with Internet access and the reference librarians are very friendly. :-)

A building built specifically to be a library should not of been designed so poorly. I appreciate the library, but the uncomfortable layout makes me stay away.

Very small, not a wide selection so always have to order books from the other libraries and they always seem to get lost in transit.

This location is good. I like the little Irvington neighborhood it’s in. The ONLY thing that happened that was bad was one time my boyfriend kept smelling poop and he eventually figured out it was the table. It literally smelled like someone wiped feces on it.
