The assortment of books, CDs, and DVDs is really big. I drive from 40 minutes away because the selection is really good. When I'm done, I can return it to my local library. DVDs have a $1 fee to checkout. Books, CDs, Audiobooks, and video games are free to checkout with an area library card. The children's section is the top floor and has a fun play area. There is also a spot to listen to kids CDs or audio books after borrowing headphones from the Information desk or play board games. We played Trouble and Boggle.

A dump, and despite recent renovations that added more office space for the staff, the library has added no new user spaces, and no dedicated study rooms; if one wants to get an earful of people chatting and laughing and talking, then this is the place--the noisiest library I have ever been to in the dozen or so times I have been here. The building is aged, which cannot be changed--but the tables and chairs being filthy with grease (take a wet nap and wipe any table and you will gag!) and human sneezes is completely unacceptable. Add in a grotesque lack of electrical outlets for laptop users, which is everyone these days, and the library is a true shame. The childrens' section upstairs is nothing to write home about. The B-N area is aching for a decent library, as even ISU has no good library--Milner is overused and underfunded. One gander at the fantastic libraries in other counties, like Champaign county, that are open to the general public--at the University of Illinois, small towns like Mahomet, IL, Urbana Free Library, and the Champaign Public Library--will show that the white-collar, educated community of McLean county truly needs to step up its game in modern, not-only-books community spaces. McLean county libraries are dungeons.

There are plenty of books to choose from. They also have music and movies to rent. They currently offer 3d printing service if you have a written request and File on a thumb drive. They host many events for all ages and have computers and laptops for surfing the internet.

This is a great library that is in need of an expansion. Have a large selection of books with regular and large print. They have a good selection of DVDs and CDs however you have to rent them.

I go there to study after school. It's quiet most of the time, and they update all of the books; well in the young adult section. However, some of the childrens' books are also young adult books, and in some series half of the series is upstairs and the other half is in the young adult section! And all of the award winning books are upstairs and the young adults don't want to go upstairs because they think it's 'uncool' so it would be nice for the award winning books to be near where you walk in. Other than that it's an awesome place. The staff is really kind and helpful too.

This library has blessed me with having a game that I wanted to play since it came out in November of last year. I kept on hoping that it was at the library but now it is. Nice library for a town this size although the building itself is nothing special. They have a pretty good selection of books and other resources but this is not exactly the kind of place where I would love to spend an afternoon doing work.

Two-story library with helpful staff. NPL offers free children & adult learning & craft activities. Internet, scanner, copying, fax services are available. Movie rentals are $1 each but sometimes run weeks where they offer movies at 2 for $1 or free movie rental with donations to help the community. (See their website or Facebook for listing of events). Note: Normal Public Library has convenient book drop-off points around Normal. Contact the library for drop-off locations.

I visit thwe Normal library occasionally when I visit my mom who lives in Normal. We go one of their weekly clubs and we both really have a nice time, especially my mother.
