This library is sooooo awesome! The options for books are a very wide selection. I was able to get studying done for my finals within two hours and it worked so well! The makery is a really good addition to the library-which is very conviniant since most librarys dont have that. The online website is very well organized. The online texting system on the website for questions was amazing and the librarians responded in less than 30 seconds. All of the librarians are helpful and polite. If i could i would give this library a 500 out of 5!

This is an excellent library! Staff are kind and very helpful. They really dedicats themselves, in educating, helping and serving the public by providing the educational needs. They have many courses of study to help build, further or assist in change adults carriers. They have a vast number of educational tools for children, teens and young adults like, reserving tutor or group study rooms. In addition, DVD courses of study and so much more. I really appreciate all they have and all they do for the public. If you haven't visited please do so and experience it for your self. And if you have please be supportive how ever you can. Thank you so much to the staff and everyone involved. You are doing a great job.

One of the best libraries in the area... light, bright, and smack-in-the-middle of a park. The collection is pretty extensive and if they don’t have it they’ll get it for you. There are separate areas for different ages. And they carry THE WIG books (just three of the five but that’s pretty good).

Lovingly nicknamed "The Pub" Best library I've ever been to. I go very frequently and love the variety of services they provide. Ive brought out of town visitors here just to oggle at it's beauty. I go here instead of my school library and have had nearly only great interactions with the staff.

I have been visited many cities' libraries in IL. Last year, I moved to Elmhurst and EPL becomes my most favorite place in this peaceful town. Staff is very nice and helpful. The collections of movies and musics are up to date. Study area is quiet and clear with free open WiFi. Automatic check out and return system. Drive through pick up and return. Love it!

This is a 5 star library, without question. I just had to chime in. Lots of great resources: kids areas, computers, creative studios for art and music, a "maker's lab" with a 3d printer and other resources. Items beyond books available for checkout including ebook readers, kids toys, puppets, cooking gear, and probably some other stuff I don't even know about. Staff are nice. There is a nice little coffee shop, study rooms, meeting rooms. Its bright and clean and open and tastefully designed. There's even a cozy little fireplace area to lounge by with a good book. 5 stars. No question.

The fact that this library has 5.0 rating after 66 reviews says a lot. Online it also has presence - with website where you can put hold on books and renew your checkouts. It's beautiful library, but the crown jewel is the staff. I did occasionally ran into someone who was grumpy or had a bad day... but they ALWAYS try to help you. Thanks to everyone working here - we are blessed to have you.

One of the nicest libraries I have been in. There are great tables to complete work at and many comfy chairs to curl up with a book to read. I always find myself near a bright window looking out at Wilder Park. There are also nice perks like study rooms for group meetings, popular movie rentals (blu-ray, DVD), and neat items to check out like portable DVD players and Go Pros! Not to mention, the tasty sugar cookies at the cafe!

Quiet library with plenty of cool places to study. Librarians are soft spoken when helping patrons, unlike other libraries. There's less loitering here than at other places I've been. You get the feeling everyone has somewhere to go and the library is just one stop along their day. They even have a coffee stand inside. Great place to go if you value peace and quiet. The way libraries should be.

THE BEST LIBRARY I'VE EVERY BEEN TOO! I would go there every day if I could. They have huge selections of books for children and adults. Downstairs, is the entrance, a cafe and the kids area. The kids area has computers, books (of course), chess sets, play areas for kids and toddlers, and a TV. My kids love it there. My two year old just plays in the play area with the huge stuffed animals. The upstairs if for teens and adults. Huge selection of books and magazines. There is a special place reserved for teenagers. There is also a knitting station, and the staff are always there to help. Overall, it is a huge library with a cafe and just a relaxing place to go when your bored!

It is one of my favorite places to study I just wish it was open till midnight as well. The staff is very helpful and friendly and will do everything they can to help solve computer trouble, research issues, or anything else you may need. It is a quiet study place, but the soft noises a library should have to make it feel like you're not in a prison without sound. They have no sound study rooms that you can rent FOR FREE with a library card or a big room off to the right upstairs that is the quiet study room. There are computers at the disposal of everyone, as well as a darling coffee shop which has workers who are very skilled at making good beverages for kids to adults. The kids section is a great place to go towards the later hours of the night because it is usually empty after 5 with everyone going home for dinner, so it opens up a lot more options to spread out in your study space. It has a beautiful 360 view of almost all windows so you are not sitting in a cell block. There is plenty of natural lighting during the day and good lighting at night. They have Ethernet cables you can borrow as well as laptops or even headphones. Their movie section is vast and always growing as new releases come out so that any college student has the opportunity to get a newly released movie without having to purchase it or wait for it to go on netflix. Overall, this library is great and the only complaint I have is that they close at 9.

I was born in Chicago, then brought back to my home in Elmhurst, and have lived here from then since now when I am 13. Out of every single place that Elmhurst has to offer, the library is one of the finest of them all. They have a wide array of services to provide for anyone, whether you be 2 years old looking for entertainment, 13 trying to find a place for Dungeons and Dragons, or 30+ looking for a good read or a movie to watch with the family, the EPL never ceases to provide. As far as the staff is concerned, everyone working here is kind and helpful, and I have grown to get to know some of them. Overall, I couldn't recommend the Library any more than I do.

New renovations are horrible. Too entertaining for little kids. Every time I bring my kids, they are tempted to run, scream, jump and climb and then it makes me look bad as a mother because I'm not controlling my kids...in a library. I even got yelled by the security guard today that my son is running throughout the whole library. It was so embarrassing. "Mam, you gotta control your kids!". Sure, but what do you do when your 8 year old has to pick up some books and the 2 year old doesn't want to leave...Lately, every time I go to the library, it is a horrible experience for me and I hate seeing the frowny faces of the employees. It makes me feel so uncomfortable. I miss the little enclosed room when nobody seemed to get bothered...
