The place and environment is amazing overall. Study rooms are available and they even give u pens n erasers incase you wanna write on the boards while studying in the rooms. Quiet room is cozy. But lot of thumping from running and playing from the floor above where kids play area is. Bit disappointing when it comes to vending machine. No proper coffee station is available and also limited space to have food. Except for that books are plenty, staff is super friendly. There is also a cell area by the fireplace overlooking parking and playgrounds, which is my personal favorite place.

The facilities and most of the staff would make this library a 5+ star place. It's just a grumpy old employee that was just not nice. This place is the only place in Deerfield where my family and I felt discriminated. (Emphasis on felt, it could have totally been nothing to do with my race). A lady in the Children's section would just constantly comment on how I would lose a study room every time I went out of it. I thought it was odd and saw the guy who was using the room next to me and she said nothing to him when he went inside and out of the study room at least 3 or 4 times. The same was for my wife and kids. I know that my kids can be loud but they are pretty much the same as all the kids in the library and my wife is the hush hush type of mom. Yet, she only bothered to comment on my wife and kids. Every time my kid left the play area about 3 yards out, she would ask my wife to look after our kids. Other children wandered to the book section back and forth but she never mentioned anything to their parents. I'm just saying, it was odd. Smiley to other people, being unnecessarily strict to others... What I know for sure is that it was just this employee and I could have inadvertently done something that offended her. Maybe it was the bag of chips I tried to bring to the room because, due to the complete lacking of any notice whatsoever, I did not know you could not eat there. With that said the other employees are super super nice and the grumpy employee was super nice to other people as well. Her actions were just weird when my family was the only minorities in the area.

Excellent, large quiet study area! Has comfy seating, normal seating with desks, ample lighting, and all the patrons respect the silence of the area. Additional seating is positioned around the library for those who require less silence. The library has a great assortment of books, movies, and games. It is well organized and the librarians are helpful and friendly. 5/5 would recommend.

One of the best libraries in the north shore. The kids area is great for kids 8ish and under (with a train table, legos, tons of toys, a separate space for babies, etc). They also have plenty of study areas and other special-use space. The staff is very friendly (and there is always plenty of staff to help).

Fantastic people, always helpful and smiling. The library is a great place to bring your kids and open up the world of literature to them. I was there this past weekend, and walking through, saw they were even hosting an adult-learning class of some kind, I love the community engagement opportunities. There's never enough of those.

Very noisy. The librarians are louder than the patrons. It's impossible to get any work done if you are looking for any peace and quiet. You are better off going to a coffee shop.
