The Mountain Home Public Library is a good place. It's a pretty modern building, kept clean and is used quite often by many library goers. They have most of the current Best Sellers on the shelves and a very good "local section" to read about and research our small part of this world. My only negatives about this library are the low/no availability of Best Sellers in E-Book format and the wireless internet is quite often very slow and unusable at peak times. I've attended some very good informative talks during the Spring of 2013 and look forward to attending more of these.

This is where the locals come and try to read. Although they are not very successful at it. I don't mind mind the place really. Its just a library. But I do remember a long time ago, a couple of friends and I were sitting at the lobby with some drinks we bought at the coffee shop inside the library. Well my friend was leaning against a wall that was close to the coffee shop's flavor bottles, and behind the flavor bottles was an unsecured whiteboard that had a list of the various flavors. As my friend gets up off the wall he brushes the whiteboard and that pushes all the flavor bottles off the low shelf that they were on. CRASH!!!! there was five of us. But my friend and I were the only ones to leave the scene. Normally, this being an accident they should have either A) give them a warning. or B) make them pay for the bottles. They chose C) Call the cops and say it was gang related. Why? Because the hick woman that worked there huffed too much paint thinner and needed a scape goat to blame her meth addiction on. But of course, cops have better things to do than to chase down two kids that accidentally knocked over a sign. So that's my story of this place. I sure will miss it.

Lousy wifi. Lots of places to sit but very few with electric plugs. Gave up trying to stay connected and moved on.

We went camping at the sand dunes and my son had homework due. We had to drive in to this library to get some stuff off the computer. Person was a little put out by us. Library was clean and well kept and nice.
