Good Library, but entrance causes traffic to back up its to narrow. They have another entrance why not make people use it. I hate the traffic jams caused by this library.

I live in Caldwell but this library is so awesome! I can get books here and return them in Caldwell. Today I am at a Learning Fair. The kids are loving it! Super educational and FUN! I have included some photos of the fair.

Staff at the Meridian library truly go above and beyond to help, always. I lost my library card. I had the number memorized and didn't want a different number, but it was necessary, so I resigned myself to memorizing another long, long number. The library employee handed me a large stack of new library cards to choose from, so that I could chose one with the number easiest for me to remember! Once when I was not feeling well and needed to go to the stacks to find a book, a staff member came along, asking to help, and when I explained, took the slip of paper I was holding from me and went away to retrieve the book I needed without my even asking her to. The library is a quiet sanctuary where you can be alone with your books, or in just a few moments, help is literally at your fingertips. My favorite library in the entire Treasure Valley.

I absolutely LOVE this library branch! The children's library is so wonderful for both my little one and my bigger kiddos! The shopping carts have been such an awesome addition- they love that they can "shop" for their library books! Although we go often, they still get excited to go- it's a new adventure every time! I can't say enough about the staff. They have been the utmost helpful in finding what I am looking for and some! Thank you for being such a great partner in helping to nurture the love of books and reading in our little ones!

Good library, awesome kids programs, entertaining, helpful, kind, and Cheerful librarians. They have alot of books, good ones. It's an organized place. But sometimes it's loud and noisy.

This is by far the loudest library I have ever been to in my life! I have come here several times to work on some projects that I need to be able to focus on in a quiet environment but you can kiss that goodbye once school gets out. while the noise (and amount of kids that should be in school?!) is manageable during school hours, once school gets out this place turns into a YMCA straight up transformers style. Want to sit in the quiet area in the back? Be my guest, just be prepared to get run over by wild grade school kids running and yelling through the isles. Need a place to quietly focus on your thoughts, read a book, or work on a project? Then don't sit anywhere near the teenage-filled, game room that looks and sounds more like an eSports arena in the final round than a library. I might as well check out what I need and then go sit in my car. This is a good library in the sense that it has computers, books, and all other libraryish things you would seek out in such an establishment (worthy star rating for that), but if you are looking for peace and quiet, keep moving!

I really hate having to give a library a low score like this, especially since I'm sure the staff is awesome ... and I'll say that some of their programs are great ... especially the MLD technology initiatives ... Bravo. But that's not what I''m reviewing. I'm reviewing what it's like to come here to look for stuff and to study. If you come during non-school hours the place is the noisiest library I've ever been in (and I've been in a lot of libraries). It is clearly where latchkey kids go to hang out with their friends ... they also reserve the study room wherein they think they can scream and play around as much as possible ... nope. Not sound proof. During school hours you'd think it was much better, but again disappointment: at least last time I was there there was the loudest 60 Hz hum, all throughout the building ... I mean LOUD. Like they invested in the lowest efficiency light ballasts and HVAC money could buy. Again, I'm not knocking the library but my darn neighbors here for not investing in this incredibly valuable resource. They don't think we need to invest in libraries anymore "because the internet". They obviously don't know what a library really is ... far from merely a building full of words more easily delivered electronically. Going forward I'm voting for whatever candidate who has the will to fix this problem ... I don't care what else they stand for.

I've been to my share, and the Meridian Library is an excellent little library, doing the best they can with the resources they have. That being said, it's getting automated to the point of impersonal. Oh, how I miss the sage librarian.

Wasteland Hero

I love playing the video games!

Diane Fry

I love this library. All the efficiency of automation allows me to browse and order online. Then they email me when the book is in. I stop by and check it out in about a minute and a half. Super easy for the working day. AND they always have multiple people behind the counter to help if I have a question or issue. You rock, Meridian Library!!

This is our library, it's big and it has lots of books. The younger staff was forcing my husband to use the checkout machines when he clearly just wanted a person to do it. Older staff will just do it for you. We like people, that's just us. I did not appreciate that. I love everything else.

Clayton Trehal

Excellent library! Once I got my soda jammed in the machine and they went out of their way to help, even calling the vendor so they could get the key and unjam the machine. It was going to take a little while, so library staff brought me out a water with ice while the vendor brought the key. Great service and library staff!

This library is big and very up to date. A large children's section, lots of computers for the public to use and helpful staff. The teen section could use some more books, so hopefully that will continue to grow as the rest of the library has. The outdoor patio with waterfall is nice to look at as I'm sitting at the table tutoring my student. I come here at least twice a week, and always look forward to it.

Everyone at MLD is always so helpful on answering my questions concerning my computer problems (of which I have many!!!)..

Very nice and helpful people there.

Joaquin Teton

One of the larger library's. Internet access with multiple computers, printer, fax, WiFi, Children's tablets and computers. Check out books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs. Friendly staff, they are very helpful.

Abrar Khaleel

The noisiest library I've ever been in. Kids were literally screaming and running between the rows of books. Not only were the parents nowhere to be seen, not a single library employee ever showed up either. The irony is, there is an entire wall of "Quiet area" desks, which I was thrilled to see; I came to the library to study. I guess it's great that this is a Yes, You Can! facility but it's not a library, just an indoor playground with shelves of books.

Kari Arrowwood

Super helpful and a good selection. Everyone here is amazing with kids as well

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Room for improvement: Their selection of technical books is small and outdated.

This library is the best I have ever visited with nice staff free WiFi fun games and after activitys such a free lunch for kids under 18 these staff are the people who make this a great library.

Love the Brick Lego club

Jonathan Bao

Not a good place to study, like a previous reviewer said. Bring headphones. Loud humming from the ceiling. I don't blame librarians for the people who come here, but... there are slobs drinking sodas, watching videos, and laughing obnoxiously in the quiet study cubicle desks.

MARSHALL THE DALMATIAN PUPPY

I love this library and it's has free WIFI

Jason

Great place to spend time explore and learn

KC Eck
