As you can read, its rating is practically the top, and it is based on a large number of reviews, so we can conclude that the evaluation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Library is included in the category of Public library.
I love coming to the library. Very nice staff and the books are sometimes there when you need them. I also recommend the e-book app and you use your 12 numbers off your library card. Make sure your library card number is current to use. If you have texting you can get notifications on your library stuff too.
this library is overflowing with books and great people!!
Extremely loud, there are always kids screaming, and the way the building is designed their voices carry two stories up to the adult fiction area. The only comfortable places to sit and read are right near the water and children's area. It is very hard to focus on any book or work. The staff is helpful, but I can hear them talking on the opposite side of the room. The layout is very odd, most every row of books ends in a solid wall so you can't just turn the corner. They have weird limits on books, such as 7 days and 14 days. I have not seen this before. Also the books are grouped together. There is no separation within fiction, science fiction, romance, historical fiction etc. are all grouped together.
If you are looking for a quiet place don't come here! On more than one occasion I've experienced: children running around unsupervised and unchecked, crying children, adults on cell phones, and countless other obvious disruptions. The fish pond in the center of the library is a draw for children. The shape of the building around this pond is such that it amplifies any and all noise within it. Most of the vagrants stay on the first floor in the foyer and the others that weren't were at least quiet. The library itself is nice but its purpose has been destroyed by the shrill shrieking squalls of the children who inhabit it and the complacency of the staff who I'm sure have gone deaf. Bring your headphones.
DVD's and CD's lots to learn and lots of fun title's! )
I have never been disappointed coming here. I have found every book I've wanted so far and they are usually in great condition.
This is the library I grew up with and it will always mean a lot to me. The building is great and there are plenty of books for the size of the town. The librarians are nice and helpful and very friendly. It's a great community resource.
it is a nice place
This library has a huge selection of books. You can also get a guest pass for the computer lab, which comes in handy while I’m waiting to get proof of residency for my library card. My favorite part is the Friends of the Library store down stairs. Such great prices and it’s a huge store. Sometimes I just want to own a book. Prices are about 50 cents to 1.50? Better than Goodwill. If I wanted to pay $3 for a book I would just buy it online, it’s way more convenient. I love their service. Thank you volunteers!
I've been going here for years. Over time they have tried to change the look but that feeling of wonderment and desire for adventure is still how I remember it when I was a child. Extra kudos to the filtered water fountain they've installed! Con: some of the librarians aren't always the most pleasant to talk to or friendly.
Great selection, great staff, great library.
Good selection, quiet, friendly staff.
Great staff and all are very helpful.
Great library and I miss it. Being all the way in San Diego, they don't make them like this here. I come back often and I like to check this place out when I do. It has gone through a lot of changes and I'm happy for that. Knowledge is the greatest gift and a start to a better world.
This is a great library with a good selection of books, magazines and dvds. It's usually pretty quiet too even though there's always quite a few people there. The computer catalog system is nice to look up a particular item. There's even different sitting areas with chairs and couches that you can relax on while reading. The staff however is definitely the highlight, they are always very friendly and helpful!
Great.
Great directions
Great study spot with fast WIFI, there are 3 floors to choose from.
Everything a public library should be!
I don't like books.
Beautiful layout. Friendly and helpful librarians. I needed to use the computer while on a quick trip into town. It was easy to get a day pass and everyone was helpful.
I worked here and there's a reason for that. Great atmosphere and co-workers always friendly and ready to help. If you don't see a book that you want put in a request and they will buy it for you.
This library is nice. I have many memories of this building and they do a good job of taking care of the place. The staff is highly responsive and the book selection is quite extensive.
Definitely one of the top public libraries in Idaho Falls. They have lots of books.
Computer lab that's available has always been beneficial to me ever since my home laptop crashed
Lots of books. Cute set up for kids. Relaxing coy pond. Rude and unhelpful employees. Wanted a card got the run around and finally got sent back where I started. Not kid friendly at all. My kids were not anywhere near the pond and I got a talking to about someone else's kids. Tried to explain that mine were reading and instead of apologizing she continued rant on me about kids that were not mine.
This is a great local library. Very modern and spacious inside.
I love this place it is simply quiet.
LOVE THE FRONT DESK LIBRARIAN! (floor 1)
Relaxing!!
No guest passes for kids under 18. This is the only library i have ever been to that does not accommodate children. A damn shame.
Excellent selection the workers are extremely helpful it's clean and quiet it's beautiful place beautiful building with a calm environment. I love it there.
The librarians are thoughtful, knowledgeable, and always willing to help me find a book. The library is clean and has reading knooks throughout. This is a favorite for my whole family.
My family and I have been using the Idaho Falls Public Library for 8 years now. My children know the staff downstairs by name which is a great acknowledgement of how the staff treats the public like us. In addition to the staff and public service they provide, we also love driving by the library and seeing the statues out front dedicated to local author Wilson Rawls and his characters that he wrote about in "Where the Red Fern Grows".
Just noticed how cool the water fountain is , remodel currently is putting on a cool display of performance water filters and at water fuel stations (north and south interior) ! Go to the Idaho falls aquatic center for additional water resources including : reading area, bleachers, and water bottle fill station
We love this library and the great librarians!
Our kids really enjoyed the library. The especially love the open inside fish ponds and forest like area! It's very creative for a library! The library is a good size with a good range of children's books. The also host activities such as a local chess club. The rent moves as well as books which is handy as well.
Great library. Really glad that we live within city limits in order to make use of this wonderful resource.
Really great library, great service, and almost any book you could possibly want is there.
The staff is extremely helpful, especially those up front. We visit the library at least every two weeks. It keeps us informed and entertained. Glad we have it!
My 4 kids and I love visiting this library on a regular basis. I love that books can be checked out and returned to both the Idaho Falls and Iona library and can be requested to be picked up either place as well. We always enjoy our visits and story times. Thank you!
Don't expect to get any actual work done here. It's always full of screaming children. And the employee in the computer lab was impressively unpleasant when I needed to print a few documents.
Beautiful building with fish ponds and real trees. It's a wonderland filled with books. Creates imagination.
Wonderful Library was very impressed...just moved into the State and this is the most beautiful well kept and extensive library I've ever seen.
This is a good local library with friendly and helpful staff.
This is the place to be / go;?
It is an amazing library with kind and helpful staff. They hold fun activities, and the library has an extensive amount of books.
Took the love and logic class offered by the library and was extremely impressed. I am so thankful this is offered and believe all parents should attend this class.
Great selection of books and various media. Children's section is very entertaining.
They have a very organized and extensive collection of books, all my favorite authors are represented. They also have most of the highly anticipated releases, though there is generally a long waiting list.
I have amazing memories of coming here as a child. It's a great library and offer a lot of really cool things for free.
Ryan and Liza (The head YA librarian and a senior librarian) are working on setting up design stations to use their recently aquired cricut printers and 3D printers for cheap- all we have to pay is the cost for materials.
I lost my library card. It didn't really concern me at first because I still had my key chain library card. Well turns out someone had checked out items with my lost card, I found out when I got calls regarding late items. I didnt have any items checked out, so I looked into it and I asked what we could do. Their solution was that I replace the checked out items, more than $200 dollars according to them. I researched the prices and I could order them at a fraction of the price. They said no, they have to be the ones to order them. So they revoked my library card. After 23 years of having a library card and never having lost an anything prior, I was disappointed with them. Basically I am blacklisted and can't get another card.
Nice atmosphere, wonderful staffs and superb computer lab service where you can print documents for 10 cents a page, a great alternative to FedEx or UPS stores.
I love this Library. I love going there and wandering around and they have remodeled the pond area which is so nice. It's a home a way from home.
