Love the resources and books. However, the staff does nothing to keep a suitable environment. They do nothing about people talking loudly, or the obvious vagrants dispersed around, eating, or sleeping with their feet on the furniture. The "security" also does nothing, only waking them if they catch them sleeping.

A nice, medium sized library. The 3rd floor is totally dedicated to the little ones with some activities for them as well. There is a nice selection of materials throughout the facility. I'm told there used to be a beautiful library closer to the water and one reason it was torn down was because of the homeless population hanging around it. Well guess what?

We love Mandel! I've never encountered an employee or volunteer who wasn't polite and helpful. The children's floor is where we spend most of our time and the ladies up there are super kind and patient with the kids. There are also SO MANY programs and truly something for everyone - yoga, coding classes, current events lectures, etc. The check out system is painless as well.

This place is an excellent library that offers things that I did not expect to find. They have all of the usual books and magazines, but they also have movies, video games, music, and the list goes on and on. They offer computer service and printing for a nominal fee. They offer tutoring for elementary, middle, and high school students by certified teachers. Wow, what a library!

Great library! Comfortable place to study - the 4th floor is brightly lit with plenty of space to spread out and get work done, use the computer stations, or find a nook in the stacks to quietly read. I love their diverse selection of audiobooks and that they make a concerted effort to maintain them (repair scratches, skips, etc.) I do wish that they had more individual study rooms, but I can usually reserve one and stay for at least two hours before someone bumps me out. This is one of the quieter libraries in the area. The staff keeps control of the patrons while remaining friendly, helpful and professional. I always enjoy my visits to the Mandel Public Library.

Great atmosphere to study! There are even study rooms. Very modern library. Sure you meet all kinds off people but I've never been uncomfortable. I love coming here. They even have classes such as pilaties, salsa, zumba, computer, and special guest speakers. Great place

Computer use is free. 2 copies are free. Scanning is .05. Very reasonable. Huge library, convenient hours and location.

The library has been great resource for art classes and other classes. My experience at the library was very good for the most part, regretfully have to taking 3 stars off because of the poor service I received from the new hire Debbie who helped out and took photo at the art classes. Mandel library, please have better diligence in the quality of people you bring on board.

the library itself is nice, and the staff seems to be pretty friendly as well. what I found completely off putting was the smell of urine and the homeless population occupying the 2nd floor. it was my first time up there today and will 100% be my last. it seems that have sought refuge at all of the computer stations there. I could not be up there for more than a few moments. I feel horrible for the girls that I saw who had to work up there all day.

I love this library it has everything anyone could need and much much more including a Dunkin Donuts right inside the library, I visit at least 5 to 6 times a week. BUT it is probably the LOUDEST library I have ever been to in my life, children screaming and out of control, adults talking very very loudly to one another and on the phone. I love this Library but people and children are very very loud.

A nice big distraction so the masses don't learn what is going on in their country. Yes, watch the reruns of reruns of videos from TV sitcoms. Keep watching,. You have no idea the state of the country and wha the government is doing.

outstanding public library. They have private rooms which can be used for meetings or projects. I use them for meetings. Good selection of books. Many computers available for public use. Cheap way to print out many pages. Cheaper than printing at home. 10 cents i believe for black and white. Also the library offers many many classes workshops and lectures for all types. Absolutely wonderful library.

The library is great. However, it is very noisy. I am very displeased with my service today. I rented a movie and the woman at the desk did not take my movie rental out of its plastic security case. :-(

This is a very nice library. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They offer different classes for many different age groups. I personally enjoy the yoga classes on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

I recently moved to WPB from NJ and I had to print a few items for my landlord, when I finally found my printer in a crushed box I knew it was time to find a local library. I asked Google and he sent me here. I was very impressed not only with this fine resource affording me but the staff was quite friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to assist me. As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say "I'll be back".

Great local library. Spacious, quiet, hosts lots of free community events such as yoga, painting, and many others. Good selection of books and DVDs. Has a Dunkin Donuts built in so you can grab coffee while you read. The after hours book drop is very convenient with a drive up receptacle.

I enjoy the free programs at the library. I find the choice of books much better at my local library. Customer service 0 stars. My reason is that rarely does anyone answer the phones when calling in. You have to leave a message which is not always returned. At times I get a call back in 15 minutes. Other times it can be hours and today no one ever called back with answers to my questions.

The library is truly full of resources. HOWEVER, they have got to get rid of the Dunkin' Donuts on the first floor. It is a Library, not a Restaurant! People dining there are soooo loud, which is fine if it was a restaurant but given the fact that it is inside the Library people are not considerate of others that are trying to read. One solution is to get rid of DD all together. Another solution is to have the entrance to DD through the east side of the building so that people can enter DD through Clematis/Dixie and not through the Library. Please leave a thumbs up if you agree!

Great covenient location but not a safe one.Theres a carácter with a récord of child sexual assault that dates back to 2012 thats stands outside the library cursing and swearing while he shoots the finger and spits on passing trolleys.

This multi-level library is in the heart of Downtown West Palm Beach and there's a parking garage within walking distance. I love this library and have attended many special events here on Clematis Street.

I have never been treated so poorly by a librarian before! The 4th floor librarian is someone who needs to retire . In the past few weeks I have been working on the computer to get recertification in psychology.... The rude behavior and lack of manners or respect of those patrons of the library, this woman produces simply put, a disaster! As this building is a City runned one, she is a representative of our city, WEST PALM BEACH. The comments I have heard from her when working with people are not what I would have expected.... " I have no time to spend teaching you when you have no brain" or " I cannot help not if you're not smart enough to know our system ". REALLY???? Myself, when the computer froze on me, was told " oh well I guess it's just smarter than you and now you can leave". As a native to our beautiful town of West Palm Beach, it saddens me that this is what my town has accepted for excellence. We are visited from those all over the World....as the Jewel of Florida, our rich history is full of beauty, both people and lifestyle. I regret to say, we have fallen greatly. I would like to hope that all who visit wonderful take away the thoughts of all PALMBEACHER'S are like this woman of the 4th floor at the library!! I can assure you, most of us LOCALLY GROWN, do have manners, respect and even brain's!!!!

The service & staff are very nice & very helpful. Yes it is unfortunate the homeless take up residence in the library. But this happens in all library's because it is a public place & legally there is nothing anyone can do about it. The smell is atrocious. I just do what I have to & not stay as long as I would like to. The noise from children running Around should be addressed but is not. Loud people also. Cell phone use, people think the world needs to know their business.

Thank you Mandel Library staff for keeping such a nice library. I know you must work very hard. It’s always clean; the floors, computers, shelves, elevators, and everything! Well stocked with so much of everything. Having security guards are very much appreciated as well. I always look forward to stopping in and browsing and checking out books.
