You will see all the feddbacks of real people who purchased the services of Largo Public Library (Library) in the state of Florida.
At present this business gets a score of 4.3 out of 5 and this rating was based on 109 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is quite positive, and it's based on a large number of reviews, so we can say that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Library corresponds to the category of Public library.
Best library i have ever belonged to. Quiet and resourceful. Staff is well trained and courteous. Loveeeeee it!
I love this library. Almost always a computer open. If you need help with anything you're always treated in a cheerful manor. Lots of movies and reading venues and a wealth of information there.
It is a nice working enviroment
The quiet room for reading is not quiet. The same guys are in there sleeping in the chairs, eating and laughing out loud while watching videos. I’m trying to study for an exam and you are only allowed to reserve a private room for 2 hours. I have tried to sit in other areas thru out the library but there is too much noise or distractions. The librarian or the security guard need to monitor the quiet rooms more often.
Organized library, staff is helpful, and it’s pretty quiet.
This is a very good Library, and a good place to study.
Smells like old people and feet and they need to update and the librarian that was in the front desk she was rude and gave me sass I hope she gets fired
I love the selection of books they have. If you want a super hero adventure or the history of birds or genealogy or a sci-fi space opera or a calm, cool mystery or WW2 stories, you could get it here. And if you can't find it, the staff will find it for you.
Not good
Helpful staff and great selection of all mediums
I always have a great experience at Largo, and the St . Petersburg North branch libraries. They're very nice people at both places, and are very helpful if you need something or help and even computer questions too. I recommend that you visit one of the libraries today, and have a great time doing it from movies to a great books you can read, use your brain to take you ever where that you can read about, and never leave home.
Large Selection of videos,Computer access, Huge selection of Books! Classes to learn different activities! Very helpful Librarians!A HUGE PARK NEXT TO IT!I BELIEVE THAT OUR LIBRARY IS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE STATE! YOU ROCK LARGO L
First off, beautiful library but beware...this is not your father's library. If you close your eyes you would swear you are sitting in the middle of the mall. Unbelievable how freely people talk...as if they are at the mall. I've been to this library 3 times and it is the same thing every time. The employees even talk as loud as visitors do. Hard to concentrate on what you're doing. I don't understand what happen to talking at a LOW level when in the library. I'm telling you, go to this library and close your eyes...you'll swear you're at Tyrone Mall! (NOTE: Days I've been here are on Saturdays so maybe it is more quiet during the week).
Largo library is one of the greatest library I have ever seen. Also, alll staff behave friendly and nice.
They have a great children's section, my niece and nephew love it! Another great thing is that they have a little cafe, bookstore and it's right across from the Largo Park so it's the perfect place for kids.
Very nice and large two-storied library. Lots of space for studying with electrical plugins everywhere you go. Actually took in a two-monitor laptop setup for an emergency web development session in a pinch and had plenty of space even with the hundred or so people present. It can get loud at times as teenagers will be teenagers, but the library offers many quiet rooms as remedies - compete with adequate space and multiple sockets for plugging in. Highly recommend you visit if you haven't. *** BONUS *** There's a nice little cafe located in the interior of the library: pressed Cuban sandwiches and hot coffee ready on demand.
While I do enjoy all of Pinellas county's libraries, Largo's is by far my favorite. Beautifully designed, spacious and found in a gorgeous setting at Largo Central Park.
Out of all the libraries I've been to, this is my favorite one. The two stories are filled to brim with books. I'm a huge Doctor Who fan and their Doctor Who collection is second to none with DVDs and comics. Wish I could rate 10 stars. Perfect.
book is available online to check the availability.
Lots of room, plenty of computers, many extra services, fax, TTY phone, very nice staff.
Great selection and extremely helpful librarians. They have very interesting programs going on as well. I’ve been coming here since I was in high school and I could not ask for a beat home library
tis one of the great joys of my life. always a pleasure to go there, wh i do at least once a week
Amazing library! So much to offer!
The best library in the Bay area.
10/10 library
I finally joined the Pinellas County Library because I was spending too much on books. I am totally disappointed. Their collection of books is limited and their selection of eBooks is really poor. Alot of the books I read are part of a series and the selection of books from a series is spotty. What good is part of a series?
Very sad when they charge $73.33 in fines on a 15 page children's book about Wolves. I checked this book out for my step daughter who was 9 or 10 years old at the time. Needless to say she lost it. I tried to renew my card but was told I have an outstanding bill for $73.33 for past due fines. I have not rented a book in over 2 years and have recently taken up reading again, but I refuse to pay $73.33 for a book that I could buy for $5 at most. So very wrong. I have 4 children of my own and am a single mom. I can not afford to dish money out like that. I know the book was under my name and was lost by my step daughter but why charge such a ridiculous amount instead of letting me purchase the book at a reasonable price. Since I dont have the money I guess I cant enjoy my public library and share moments like reading together w my children. Thanks Largo Library. All this because of greed. Smh.
My family's favorite library in the Tampa Bay area. It has a fantastic children's program for toddlers with Ms Angela and a little play area and reading nooks in the children's area. We've always been able to find what we've needed at this library.
Nice selection of books. Love to write my music. in. quiet. room.
to sonya stone just get a new card thats what i did when i have to get them over $200 and then when you get a new card just go online to get the new card
All of the staff are lovely except for the officer that works there. I would've rated this library a five, but he just makes all of my visits extremely dreadful, it's horrendous. He is always taking his job too seriously and gets involved in situations that do not need any "guidance." He seems to only get involved in nonexistent issues.
Not only do I love the children area my girls love it! The staff are always helpful, and pleasant! Thank you for making our weekly visits great!! ☺
Went to school in Florida in the early 2000s and visited with friends back in May. I forgot to print a document I needed for my flight home and swung in - I had no library card there but just needed some quick help. Hannah was extremely helpful getting me on a computer and helping me leave boarding pass in hand. It's these things that may seem simple to them but help in a pinch so much!
I enjoy the library and all its services. They almost always carry the books I want and the drive thru is so convenient.
I agree with all the positive comments from everyone! Fantastic library!! But, I'd also like to extend accolades to the cafe and the wonderful, friendly couple who run it. Food is always fresh and tasty, great coffee and as I said, the couple who run it are extremely nice! Homemade chili and Cuban sandwiches rock!
Always quiet and clean. Great selection of graphic novels, music and movies. Good selection of books. Thanks.
Great location, friendliness of staff, cleanliness, all around great library!!!!!
I go to the Largo Library quite a bit and everyone is very helpful. The people by the computers are very knowledgeable also. The selection of books & DVD's are great. Ordering a book or DVD or renewing on line is super. The library is also a beautiful place to go.
Largo library is fantastic. One of the best libraries I have been to. Great staff, everyone has always been very helpful. Their set up for holds to pick up is easy to use, wish other libraries did hold pick ups this way.
Simply put; amazing. Two floors, two help desks, a front counter, free wifi, 2 free hours of internet access on one of their numerous public computers, they even have a gaming room partially isolated for groups. Clean, comfortable, handicap functional with an elevator, children's section, cafe, numerous meeting rooms, 2 quiet reading rooms that are roomy and have nice views of the landscape. On site security, knowledgeable librarians, computerized card catalogue with links to other Pinellas county libraries. Did I mention they have books? The cultural center across the street is a thing of beauty; they have a train! There is so much to do and see here that i could go on. Great place to visit and just hang out with friends and have a low cost enjoyable day.
Never going back to this library again. It shouldn't take this long to get something back in or even get something I placed on hold. I don't understand. One woman tells me one thing and then I call and I hear another thing
It's a very nice library. My kids love to read and love this library!
This Library is amazing!! I dont know how I would have survived the summer without it. So many fun activities for kids and adults. Also the childrens wing has board games! Very clean and a nice cafe if you need a snack.
Great place a wide varration of books very helpful staff
I was a little bit confused seeing some of reviews before I went there for the first time, about two years ago. The experience was totally opposite and I was highly impressed. I feel proud that I became a member of this library that day. Since that day, I have been reading books from this library and have been enjoying the very helpful service from the stuffs. Thanks everyone for your help for making this library a best one. Thanks, Tonmay
I moved to the east bay drive area in 1996, lived in the area till 2001, I actually stopped going to the library in 1998 when the "upgraded" the card catalog to windows NT, which crashes without warning. The thing that got me was the error message: "Contact network admins in Tallahassee". Went back for the first time in 2015, the old building was gone (along with the old books). Big changes, but, I do miss the old library, the older books, and even the old staff.
My daughter loves this library. It’s huge, and the children’s section is very large with tons of books, puzzles, and board games! The staff is very nice also.
I think this is one of the best libraries I've ever been to. During the school year they have lots of classes for babies, infants, and toddlers. Miss Angela is great. We loved everything we've gone to at the library. It's nice and clean. They have a little cafe in the front of the library.
As far as libraries go, this one is the best in Pinellas. Has both a great children's section and nonfiction section.
What a joke. We recently moved here, about 8 months ago. Came to get my children library cards, I brought my lease (I was told it 2d needed because I don't have a Florida I'd yet, I work same hours as the dmv.), only to find out its not "acceptable" because although I've been her longer than 7months, our current lease is only 6months. This of course while my kids are standing there excited to check out a book. And of course no children's books in the bookstore. Way to encourage reading. We're so disappointed.
I've been going to this library since I was six months old. Their teen room is the best I've come across so far. The children's zone has great book related activities and (of course) books. The adult section has an amazing variety of genres. Their anatomy and chemistry books are the best.
It is so loud at this library. Kids running around while their parents are on the phone or computers. People shooting etc..(rude) The cafe is nasty and very over priced. However, great selection of books and the employees are very helpful. I like the classes and other activities. But seriously do something about the noise.
Largo Public Library is an absolute pleasure , from the folks that work there to their selection of materials they are first rate
I’ve gone back and read the past few months of reviews and can attest to the fact that the noise level at this library is unacceptable. Patrons conduct telephone conversations with no attempt made to be discrete or to re-locate themselves and the staff provide instruction while speaking at full volume. Neighbors greet and visit with each other as though they were at a summer picnic. As this seems to be an ongoing issue, I would expect that the ‘Florida Library of the Year’ would try to address this but that does not appear to be the case.
Great place to study. Very friendly staff. 11/10 library
Staff is Questionable in the last Year!!!
the library is good but the cafe they make you pay 75 cent just for a small cup
Impressive library!
Best library ever.
All the charm of a prison; where the meanest Librarian dwells. Not even an option to award no stars...hmmmmm.
Its a nice library but a heads up to the people who want to get their taxes done there. They will not file your taxes separately if you're married at least the AARP person wouldn't do it for my husband and I. So just a warning. Other than that its a nice enough library.
The Largo Library and the entire complex there including the cultural center and park is a wonderful center for the entire family to enjoy. Their pool and exercise center nearby are also relatively new and excellent. There's no excuse for anyone not to be enjoying the community resources that have been so graciously provided through good planning and consideration. You need to go to the park early on Friday and Saturday nights when the air is a little cooler. Bring some Chinese food or a sub from up the street. Enjoy! It's great. Go Largo!
Excellent library! There is way more than just books here. The gallery on the 1st floor is regularly changed with an array of interesting artwork, book store in the lobby has something for everyone. Lots of activities for the community. You can reserve a private study room for times when you want to work undisturbed, either alone or with someone else. They even offer motorized wheelchairs for the handicapped. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Largo Library is the best in the area. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!
I helped build this place with my father's company fl wood trimmers Inc
It is a fairly new space and they have an adequate collection, but the librarians are kind of rude and did not seem eager to help me with anything. Their cafe staff was rude too. I went in to by a soda, which came to $1.87 for a small and then, they refused my credit card unless I bought a minimum of $4.00. They looked at me like I was alien for wanting to use a credit card-seriously? Why can't they provide vending machines like a normal library?? Alas, I guess I am just spoiled by NYS public libraries.
Its okay
Largo Library is the best Library I have ever experienced. The facility, location, and staff are second to none.
