One of my favorite libraries that has many cozy nooks and crannies where you can see the ocean while reading a book or magazine. The glass elevator and 'beach display' on the third floor is very creative. There is also a cafe that is open during season and a large room containing a nice selection of current magazines. There are several study rooms and conference rooms as well. The second floor has computers along with a nice size DVD library and a play area for kids. This library is a fun place to go for the whole family. It would be nice though if they stayed open late one evening past 5.

I am so shocked to see anything but 5 stars for this library! They have an awesome list of events each month that vary in interest, a large used book store, a wonderful director and helpful staff. On the third floor they highlight a different artist each month and display their art. On the second floor, I've watched hundreds of people from all over the world come in and spend time working on large puzzles. It is apparent that consideration for the patrons is taken into account and there are many opportunities for interaction. One of the reviews below was about the beach, NOT the library, and the other said the bathrooms were dirty. I have never encountered this and actually find they smell very nice. The whole library is kept clean and tidy. I didn't even mention the view! Stop by for 15 minutes even to check it out, you won't be sorry. Then leave a review! I choose to volunteer my time there and hear from so many people every time I'm there how wonderful they feel it is, I'd love to see more of those people's reviews!

Not my fav. Place in flordia. Not alot to do. Working on one way road.. and the ocean is brown from rivers not clear like northern beaches

Great book selections. Ocean view from upstairs. Clean restrooms. I’ve found the staff to be helpful when I needed assistance. Plenty of parking. WiFi available, and it looks like a cafe is in the works.

The Fort Myers Beach Library bathrooms are rancid. The men's bathroom is basically a locker-room for the homeless. There is piss on the walls and it is very hard to breathe in there. I used the commons area for the last year and the bathroom and commons area have not been cleaned once.. What a shame. Id rather use the bathroom in a jail cell.

Amazing library! They have so many children’s books and dvds! Nonresidents can purchase a 6 month card for only $10! Plus you can get 4 free passes to the Naples children’s museum with the card! We love this library and highly recommend it!
