Woodlawn is a little gem of a library in the city of Wilmington. It has accomedations for all ages from a playground to nicely shaded and kept benches. It is fully handicapped accessible and the staff are always friendly and helpful. My 2 year old daughter always loves when we go to Woodlawn library. I highly recommend this library to everyone.

largely a homeless hangout. guess that can't be avoided in a town like wilmington. good library though. would rate it 5 stars if so many of it's patrons didn't smell so bad and lots of people seem to not know that a library is a quiet place.

Woodlawn Library is a clean and welcoming public institution that sits majestically in the heart of Bancroft Parkway and it's adjacent to the historic Little Italy neighborhood of the city of Wilmington. Many years ago, its exact spot served as the old site of the local Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles, but now it is a beautiful library with many volumes in fiction, non fiction, magazines, DVD's, CD's, audiobooks, children's literature and young adult (teen) literature, spacious conference rooms for quiet study sessions, and the library has a fantastic staff ready to serve all patrons with enthusiasm, kindness, and respect. I frequent this library, the Newark Free Library, the Hockessin Library, and the Bear Library regularly, but Woodlawn Library remains my favorite for a few distinct reasons: it has a good and contemporary vibe and a cool playground for children. There are surroundings stores, restaurants, and public transportation are all within immediate walking distance. A person doesn't have to travel too far to arrive at Woodlawn and it's about 10 to 12 minutes from downtown Wilmington. They have long business hours and the library is open on Sundays and this is very convenient for patrons who work late and cannot get to visit the library to check out books and movies of interest until after 7 pm. Manager Tanya does a superb job with this location and supervising the Elsmere Library branch as well. When was the last time you visited your library? Give Woodlawn Library a chance and you'll be delighted as often as I am when I am there with a smile.

I love this place, staff are kind, this place is clean, and i really love the up to date technology when ordering books or dvds you get alerts on your phone. I also get reminders about items that will be due soon. I like to come and spend hours relaxing.

Woodlawn is a little loud because of the kid side.Besides that the study rooms and meeting rooms are good.The books there are treated good.

I think Woodlawn Library is 1 of the BEST. Libraries in Wilmington! And I think its awesome they help everyone! Even the homeless people that have unfortunately are going through some tuff times in their life. Highly recommend this library! And watching the trains is also a plus!

I'm so happy to have this in my community. It's always busy and has the best staff in the world. I love that I can order a book or CD online and go pick it up. The complex is just fantastic.

Clean, spacious and bright. Free Wi-Fi. Perfect place to be productive. Have not checked out book selection yet, but very well organized with attentive librarians.

great spot to get info and see csx trains as csx goes directly behind this library. I've stopped here twice to get overhead pictures of csx and those two times proved well. however there are rich looking townhouses right at the overpass, and when u just stand there to wait people driveing by look at us like we are crazy. obviously they dont know what railfanning is all about
