For those of you that practice in the field of human services, this is not a place you want to take your consumer or client! I won’t say all of the staff but there are few in particular who are rude, withdrawn, and offensive towards people with intellectual disabilities.

Discrimination. We've been through this as a family and Marple Library is added to our list of "not to go" locations. We had this experience during "donut with dads" event on a Saturday. When the activity was over and kids went to get donuts she was in the front. She was told to get in line and she went in the line again. When it was her turn, she was skipped and the staff gave the pink donuts my daughter wanted to kids behind her. My wife saw this and told my daughter to leave the line. Thank God we can afford a donut but not the trauma. Message given to my daughter and us was "you don't belong here". Another day my kids got a go through discrimination.

I love our county library system, and Marple Library is a great part of it. Marple has a great childrens play area, great movie and audio selection. Best of all, you get to borrow books for free. Marple also has a great selection of passes to local museums.
