I LIKE HOW ONE REVIEWER WRITES-"EXCELLENT PLACE FOR CHILDREN" Well, that may be good for the mom's who think it is a daycare but, for those of us who come to research and, I don't know, use the library for what it is designed for, a DAYCARE is not very user friendly to concentrate. I use the library frequently as it is designed and during the workday. Seems every time I am there there is either a loud child not being controlled by anyone or some loud children's program. What ever happened to quiet in the library. This is not supposed to be a free daycare. So, if you are an adult and trying to find a quiet place to research or think make sure you work around all the mom's and children who think it is chuckie cheese.

The staff here are beyond rude. I came in to use the computer to work on homework and the lady at the desk pestered me for my ID for a guest pass. I was compliant, but she was still threatening to get her supervisor. It made no sense and I felt very uncomfortable so I just left. Just go to the dover library instead. More options and better staff, rather than the old bitter women that are hired here.

I've taken part in numerous programs at this library, and they've all been top-notch quality. Whenever I come in the staff are pleasant and accommodating, and the space itself is very light and open. Regarding the collection itself, I think it's very well-chosen (though could maybe use more space) and I appreciate that if this library doesn't have a copy of an item, but another does, they can have it sent to whatever library location for pick-up. Also! I have free access to Mango Languages with my library card, which is so useful!

all I wanted to do was print papers out and I keep getting awkward looks like I'm something foreign. The people there racist and I'm never going and back there

The staff was very helpful and was wonderful to my daughter. I love their Book Sales. You can also get videos for very cheap at the sales. You can also rent movies for free along with the books. Thank you and keep up the good work.

LOVE this library. They have frequent book sales at bargain prices, and always have a few shelves of books for sale ($1 @). Clean, spacious and modern, this library is wonderful. You can donate used books and "pay it forward".

RIDICULOUSLY RUDE WORKER!!!!! While making a donation to the library I encountered an EXTREMELY RUDE woman working at the checkout desk! As a former volunteer and patron in this library, I am overwhelmed to be treated with such rudeness. I will NEVER return to this library!!!! She needs to realize how such an encounter can reflect on the library. I am a retired librarian and understand that some days are difficult, but no one should ever be treated so poorly! SHAMEFUL!!

The staff is excellent and very well read. Even so, they're always interested in learning about an author I've recently discovered and recommending more based on my interests. My biggest gripe with this, and other libraries, is the heavily permeated smoke smell in some of the books. I cannot enjoy reading a great book when my eyes are tearing, nose running and hands smell of nicotine. Not allergic to smoke, the smell is just sometimes that strong. It's not necessarily the libraries fault but wish something could be done. The library offers plenty of great services from computers to wreath-making classes. There's lots of free parking, a handicapped ramp and always someone offering assistance. Although this branch is small they'll obtain an unavailable book from another branch and call you when it's ready. Books, movies, computers, music, classes and kid's area plus a very clean restroom.... now where's my library card?!

I was sitting down applying for an application I went up to the desk to ask for more time when a staff member asked me to not be on the phone in the library. I told her I was getting specific instructions on how to log in to apply for a job. She told me to go outside next time and use the phone. I didn’t understand that all I was doing was getting information from an employer. I can see if I was disturbing people but I wasn’t. I brushed it off and didn’t worry about the situation. Then she came over to my computer again knick picking at me then she asked me am I almost done. Unprofessional of This lady one other person was on their phone and she didn’t approach them about it. This lady was discriminating against me and very rude. I will not take my child nor will I go back to this library.

I was a volunteer here and they were ignorant sometimes. I had to get them to sign my paper and one lady wouldn't even sign my paper just cause I had the wrong time like they are just mean. They need better employees, library staff should not be like that!!! They need to appreciate their job more and be helpful to people. I've seen people that needed help and they would just give off an attitude vibe the whole time. Don't go to this library nothing but mean staff.

If you want to listen to music loudly, talk to the baby mother and bum free WIFI...this is your place. If you are a student and are currently studying to better yourself in life..DO NOT COME HERE. Lady in the front wouldn't even let me in with my coffee.

Pam Hutchins

Very clean, quiet, lots of activities for children with arts & crafts, story time, movies for all, children's area with small computers, several computers to use, printer, and one specifically to look for current media available to check out at that location. Volunteer programs, book sales, easy online access!
