It's a small town library that's well organized and maintained, with the occasional event and daily things for children. But again, it is small; there are often times you go in looking for a specific book that they don't currently have. Yet, there are plenty of other great books you may end up leaving with.

Kennett is a delightful library, and a valuable resource. I just checked my reading history and was surprised to see that our family has checked out 2,368 books over the course of 20 years, including 12 years homeschooling my boys. John, the children's librarian, is helpful in finding books that are the right fit for my kids (even when one of my boys would only read stories including airships). The interlibrary loan option is expedient, and provides access to all library books in Chester County. I am grateful to all who make the Kennett Library such a lovely place. Tolle Lege - take up and READ!!

Someone talked about the noise in an earlier review and I would agree it is noisy for a library. However, the noise could be a good thing. It means kids are there learning and reading. Some are on the computers messing around and yes, some of that I could do without. But, they always have great programs for young kids and that does create some level of noise.

Pretty nice diverse library for such a small town, I know paperback books and brick and mortar library’s are dying but all the same sometimes ya need a library and this one works pretty well as one. Like I said it has a pretty diverse range of books for such a small town establishment and even if it doesn’t have the book you need you can usually get it ordered for no charge from another local library and it will be there for you in a few days. As far as the staff go they seem pretty nice and helpful for the most part and as far as the organization goes it takes some getting used to but ounce you figure it out it’s fairly straightforward.

everything about this library is great from the past 5 years, but I would still experience the same boys at the Kennett library being really loud. Then, just 1 week ago, John yelled at me for using the little kids table when there was another kid with it's parent. Like, what's with your attitude you gave me a heads up and then you talk smack about me. I really hate this "John " guy he has no respect and doesn't even care that I have feelings. That is why I would not advice you to go to the children's area when they have a program going on

We went there for the first time last week with our 5 year old Library Lover.. So of course, we went down to the children's area...It was very neatly organised but looked small and little dark as compared to the Delaware libraries that we were so used to until now(maybe they are all very new as compared to this one). The staff was nice and welcoming and guided us nicely.. It is not like the gigantic libraries having lots and lots of stuff but it is very well stocked and our little one could get started fetching out his favorite books in less than a minute.. We hope that we find nice recommendations and programs here just like we did in Hockessin, DE. We look forward to signing up with the library this week and joining kids programs that were listed..
