I love South Windsor Public Library. Went there to South Windsor Public Library since March 2010. It's an great community library here in this town. We have Computers too...We have an ongoing book sale here too but open every Sundays from September to May....I am from Vernon, CT but this is an Great and Awesome library in South Windsor.....Best place in the area.

I went to the library to place a hold on a book, waited patiently a little over 4 weeks for the book. After several calls to make sure the book was in transit. The book arrived to the library, without checking on their system they go and give the book to someone else. I waited for the book, and was on hold. Poor service considering that I called, spoke to someone and they told me that they were 100% sure someone will contact me to notify that the book arrived.

I like this library, they have a good selection of books and movies. Spacious room and good amount of computers. The only thing that I have a problem with is the staff. On a few occasions I needed help with something and it seems to bother them to help out. If you don’t like your job then don’t work it, there’s no need for attitude for a simple question.

The books are their and you always have a good pick and the staff are amazing to help you find a book when you cant really find the book.

Good place for kids. Wish they were open 9am to 9pm on weekends as well. Sunday just 1 to 4.30pm

I was looking for a calm place for preparing for my engineering exams... reading at home was difficult because of many distractions...i found this grate place.it has very good book collection.free wifi... computers with internet connection. Staff here are very co operative. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for sime place to sit and focus on reading.

It's an awesome place with quite ambience The people here are very customer friendly and they are very cordial I used to suggest many books that I see in Internet/other book shops and 90% of time they get it from any of their networks of resources Only item that I feel they can improve is the collection of DVDs and blu Ray CDs which I see less in numbers Also, periodically they are not bringing in new films into their collection

Terrific library and wonderful staff. The reference desk staff have helped me find online and in print resources many, many times for topics ranging from professional to family/personal research. Their concerts, book clubs, visiting authors, museum passes, summer reading programs and children's programs have all been terrific. They are very responsive...upon request, they started a group for geneology searches! Great private study/meeting rooms, art exhibits and group meeting space too, all FREE unlike some libraries where they charge. The scope of resources here is AMAZING!

I refuse at this point to ever set foot in there, especially since the director gaslighted me when I applied there and followed up to see what phase the hiring process was at. Said she'd already told me that she'd be in touch with me if or when the time came and "constant calling back and checking" wasn't increasing my chances of coming on board. Untrue. TWO and only TWO phone calls on my part and no, she never told me what she said she did tho made me doubt myself for a moment. I later spoke with someone else who had worked there who said she too used to get that same treatment so I wasn't alone.

I find all the Librarians very consistent, consistently rude. Self righteous attitudes and very bias against anyone from out of Town. Easily perturbed with any questions. Good luck finding one of the Librarians out of their seat.

The staff is very helpful. They have a lot of interesting books. It is also good for printing stuff out every now and then.
