I've been going to the Noah Webster libarary since I was kid; it truly is an amzing place for researching, loaning out a good book or two and taking or taking your kid to their friendly children's department. If you're a WeHa resident and still don't have a WHPL library card, you're really missing out. Only bad experience was with the librarians, but aren't librarians scary and intimidating anywhere? Also, I shouldn't have talked back to one of them. Actually it was kinda my fault. Nevermind. Just go visit the library.

Been coming here since we moved to West Hartford in 1987 and our kids were 5 and 4. We would sit on the floor in the children's section, wiling away a Saturday afternoon reading book after book. That experience certainly led to their curiosity about the world and their future success. And my granddaughters are having the same experiences. Great family time in a nourishing atmosphere. I still visit to pick up a book, browse the stacks, or sit and read. Magical place.

I will try to avoid going on Friday again. There's a very unfriendly (to put it nicely) staff member who works in the children's room on Fridays. Other than that, we love it and the head of the children's department has been wonderfully helpful in our totschooling journey.

I really wanted to like this library. But there were complications with my library card and I was given different directions with paperwork from two different employees. When I wanted to renew a book I was unable to online, I had to go back and refill my library card application again. And then after returning my first book with them I was charged with a damaged fee. I most likely will not be going back here in the future.
