Mary Cheney Library is amazing. Been there since August 2009 and I love Mary Cheney Library (after Rockville Public Library is the first) Has excellent selection of Manchester history stuff too.... I am from Vernon, CT but this is an great library. The staff was very nice and courtageous for the library. Also, the Manchester Public LIbrary book sale was held two times every year at Steven Howroyd Room including Spring and Fall. Awesome library in the area.

Just about the the best staff, especially the children's section! Although my general experience with children's librarians has been positive , the staff here is exceptional in their knowledge. They have always helped me find the most popular as well as some rare books. Always patient and resourceful.

while the current building is lacking, the staff does an excellent job with the space available. lots of materials for everyone and every interest. The children's department in particular is really special, arranged in a family friendly why, any kid will find something they want to check out!

I love this library. It's a treasure -- with great books and great staff. So helpful. Computers, printers and copiers for public use. Plus, they offer wonderful, creative programs for all. It's a gathering place that welcomes everyone in the community. I always leave feeling better about our world today.

Very nice library. Especially for little ones. We visit weekly now. Clean and nice staff. Only downside is the pre k play group. I thought there would be more to it but it was literally just a group of kids playing with toys.. I thought there would be other activities.

Nothing here is easy. Want to renew a book? No. Even if there isn't a hold on it. Want to check out a book and don't have your card? Looking up your name and account with your license is too hard, so no. Want to drop off a book quickly because you have three small children in the car? You can't use the freaking drop boxes that are outside. You must drag your entire entourage in. I wish I could use another library because this one's policies are the most ridiculous I've ever encountered .
