REVIEWS OF Norlin Library IN Colorado

Andrew Carlson

Nice place to study but if you need a physical book be advised most of these are outdated. Boulder Public Library has more up to date books than Norlin. The mix of collaborative areas where you can work together and silent areas are great. Plenty of computers you can use if you don't have your own too.

Large collection of books, and the staff is helpful. Books in the stacks are often not where they should be but in the general location.

You can never get bored while studying at norlin. Laughing goat cafe serves a lot of beverages' options. Apple computers in commons also helps in case you forgot to bring a laptop

They charged me $18 for returning a book a few hours late. I didn't even find out about the charge until 7 years later when I saw an adjustment on my tax returns from the Colorado Department of Revenue for $34. They sent it to collections. Totally ridiculous. While I am very fond of my years at Boulder, this University is money hungry.

Sam Baird

Great place to study and they have a massive collection of books. They have some really nice Apple computers in the commons. I do wish they would update some of old and beaten up furniture.

Raymond Duncan

Norlin has lots of places to study, both individually and in a group. There are tons of books on many topics and if you can't find it here, you can have it sent from another library in a matter of days.

Rude staff and too crowded.

The building is a conglomeration of a bunch of different renovations and add-ons, so it is a little confusing. It is a great place to study, with different levels of noise based on what floor you are on. The physical books there are pretty limited, but you can order basically anything on the website. During midterms and finals, it gets extremely busy, so be aware of that.

Norlin is the biggest library on CU campus. It has endless stacks of books. To this day there hasn't been a book I wasn't able to obtain from Norlin. The coolest thing is probably the special collections where Norlin has in store some very rare artifacts such as the first printed paper in history and a lot of manuscripts. It's remarkable how well maintained they are. Props to the staff.

This place is a maze. Easy to get lost. I wish they had someone handing out maps so I could get around.

They don't open the library until 7:45 during finals week which is absolutely absurd. The library should be open 24/7 during finals week. Having to sit in the commons where people are doing group work and everyone is lumped together, getting coffee and chatting seriously hinders students ability to get work done. You'd think CU would think about this and treat its students right.

Quite Refreshing

Great library and helpful staff.

Varun Kirti

Quiet space to read with many workstations. Best part is there are separate 'silent', 'quiet' and 'collaborative'. The staff is really friendly.

Tyler Hagan

So many private places to study!

Samantha Barry

This place was literally my home! Best library ever.
