REVIEWS OF Irving Street Library IN Colorado

Nice library but the homeless inside, and outside, are continually harassing people for money.

Ashlin Arellano

They are very helpful and kind to me. When I went in the first time they explained everything well.

Morgan Jarrell

Terrible library

Ye Yan Zhou

Nice and quiet inside the library. Always kept clean and there's a nice selection of books and resources. My 8 year old sister really likes visiting the playground and she can always find books that interest her.

this is a lovely library. quiet, clean, well attended, good book selection and exceptional staff. while it isn't in a posh neighborhood, it certainly isn't crime infested or in any way unsafe, as a previous review had me believing before i actually looked for myself. this is a wonderful center for social resources and opportunities to learn ESL, computer skills, job skills, genealogy or just a great place to meet.

Lillian Salinas

Love this library.

I like the library, yes the homeless people are a problem and the staff is not very friendly

John Lorenzo

It is convenient to rtd routes number31 and has good chairs to sit and read plus free access to computer

Frank Prorock

It's a homeless shelter. And a place where active drug dealing goes on. Seen and heard a young man borrow one of the portable laptops and talk to someone on his smart phone about "how much for a gram for poor people"

Rosie Stocker

Quiet and peaceful. Very helpful staff. Well organized and the staff are really nice.

I agree with some of the comments listed here. The library itself is above average, the staff is exceptional, and the neighborhood is questionable. There is a homeless presence in front of the library. My heart goes out to homeless people, especially those people who are trying to better themselves with the library resources, however when drug dealers are present, it becomes a dangerous situation for children. Do not let your kids go to this library branch unattended. Perhaps a police presence should be more readily available. I've seen two arrests made in front of the library. If there is a no loitering statute, then it is needs to be more strongly enforced by the local law enforcement . In my opinion, as an adult, this is a well located, well staffed, well needed resource in this area.

Excellent storytime for kids! Great for infants and toddlers. The children’s section has its own large room with a large library. My son loves to watch the Thomas train and Lil Patty the library pet. Everyone is very helpful!

Kyra Hogue

Great library, friendly. Easy to reserve study rooms for students.

The library itself is great. But the pavilion near the playground and the surrounding field are always packed with homeless people. I'm not trying to be rude but it's a bit off-putting when my kids want to play on the playground after we get books, but I have to limit our time there because it's either filled with litter, or I feel uncomfortable about the homeless people staring at my kids the entire time. I wish the city would provide them with alternative options of where they could go.

Jan Smith

It would be nice if their equipment worked.. Very frustrated! Not very helpful...had to switch computers and still nothing...homeless everywhere...won't go again!!!!

Clarissa Montoya

The library it self if okay. We have visited multiple times and the selection is dated. My kids were very excited to see a library so close to our new house but we quicly learned that this is not really a kid friendly space. We have tried to visit the playground and it was over run with homless people camped out under the pavillion. We tried to walk there and I could tell my kids were fearful and uncomfortable. There was broken glass all across the path. The city needs to offer some real solutions and alternatives in this area.

It would have been nice if you had posted on your website that your were closed for Maintenance today.

We love this library. They have a playground right outside, a Thomas train set that you can watch go round about 5 times for a dime, and they had a great kids section and adult area. Great location as well. And we love Lil Patty the Mexican Salamander.

Bigben Siampaints

Small but well organized public library. They have children section area & meeting room as well as couple study rooms which is very nice and decent library. Staffs are not quite busy in regular basis but they are very friendly and helpful, they also have kids playground outside library. I really like this library

A great place to relax and do any research necessary. The librarians/staff are always friendly and willing to help, and the playground is great for kids! The only problem is... the homeless almost always under the pavilion or somewhere close by. It can be disturbing to see but have never seen a single one of them cause any real trouble. Besides that, I would recommend this library.

Alex Egri

Staff is nice but it seems like parents only bring screaming kids here. Incredibly loud, left after 5 minutes of trying to study.

Friendly, helpful staff. Most times I can get a computer without too much waiting. Afternoons and during the summer, though, the kids can make a longer wait for the computers. My only issue with this place is the homeless people that hang around it. I've been approached by two bums for money so far. It's beginning to feel unsafe going into the building.

Great library, but homeless people sleeping at tables is hard to avoid.
