These people are knowledgeable and wonderful! They are always ready to assist with a smile, but they won't loan out any money no matter how cute you may be.

Great place to study.

No computers to lookup if books are in-stock or not! I understand they are doing a remodel but they should still place temporary lookup computers in place to serve patrons.

It's good but the environment may not be healthy.

The children's section is amazing. The 3 librarians Meghan, Kimberly and Suzy have been amazing. Their weekly storytime, fun holiday events, messy art parties, sensory play, educational and immensely fun initiatives have made my daughter smile many times.

Thalen Washington

This is a pretty good place to surf the web.

the employees on the computer side are rude. it takes forever to get a hold on an item.

WORST LIBRARY IN COLORADO. It's not because their DVD collection is overloaded with British mystery series, and lacks modern American series. It's not because their staff members ignore you when you need something, while they have long conversations amongst themselves. It's not because the patrons are comprised of light-rail travelers / indigents /"bums"/ mentally ill/ chemically impaired. It's how the staff ESCALATES situational events by involving security or "undercover", overzealous, Englewood PD officers. How can a mentally ill man smoking & talking nonsense in a bathroom become an EVENT? Just ask the Englewood library staff & the Englewood police department.... Do they really think that a mentally ill man is going to pay for a smoking ticket they took the time to write? He was sick - he was most likely a schizo off his meds - or he was chemically altered by drug or drink. He forgot where he left his backpack- he' s not " with it", so writing him a ticket is fruitless. Silly cops. Why couldn't they help him gather his belongings & get him some medical help or get him to MOVE ON out of the library??? Why does the security guard bother to call the cops (even if he was talking nonsense about " snipers" it was evident he was harmless). How come the staff can't recognize a non-violent sick person? Ridiculous. They can make a mountain from a molehill, but they can't provide a safe & serene place for a tax payer like me to spend a few minutes in the afternoon. Every time I think I'll have a better experience there, it gets worse. Every time I go over there are teens talking loudly, or some patron is cussing or losing control, or a patron is playing their phone or computer too loud, and the staff does nothing to damper it. Why can't the staff / security guard talk calmly & quietly to perpetrators of their rules? Instead of escalating interactions they need to learn to CALMLY & QUIETLY move it outside, or at least to a corner -or a room out of the way. Why make a scene out in the open? Why do all the patrons have to be disturbed by a single patron and the staff that's interacting with them? I think the staff & the police were making more noise than their poor "perp". They gave the episode way too much attention and made it so much bigger than it needed to be. Another botched visit to that wretched library. Manager John Soloman (sp?)and his staff need to figure out how to deescalate interactions WITHOUT involving the police and WITHOUT disrupting & upsetting other patrons that are visiting. After today I'll mainly visit Littleton & Denver libraries which all have a much better feel than Englewood library has. Not comfortable nor fun at Englewood - AT ALL. No more chances for Englewood Library from me. One gold star for city center location, parking, & light rail access, but don't recommend trying to study or spend a quiet block of time here.

This library has an amazing kids program! They hold many programs to help the kids learn and explore above and beyond just books. The adult section has s good variety of books and media. Their new books are always changing and updating. The staff is very helpful, and the library is clean.

The people at this library are very rude and racist. Watch this comment because it will be edited out google doesn't respect peoples rights iv noticed and thats a pity because everything is done on google nowadays, i spent the whole of yesterday trying to reset the password of one of my accounts. Erin the front desk representative was saying to somebody that "we will send you to prison and every night you will be raped" imagine in a government building, I was affected because I thought she might be talking to me. The security guard was saying we will send you back to the reservation. I dont bother confronting people nowadays because i guess this kind of talk is the norm here Denver and these kinds of people are protected. Lots of nice friendly people in Denver but some people are just plain nasty.

The good : staff is very nice and helpful . Lots of free parking in the shade! Pretty good selection of books and movies for such a small place and they will order anything you want. It’s clean and has rooms for computer usage where you can shut the door to block noise. The not so good: the staff only thanks people for their reviews here if they are given 5 stars which makes me think they aren’t interested in improving....and sadly, the place is far too loud! Frequently, patrons' cells phones ring and they talk at a normal volume and no staff stops them. Half the time, I cannot find a book on the shelf and have to ask for help (which I dislike). I have tried three times in three visits to find a book that is supposed to be on the shelf and even the librarians can’t find it, so whomever is shelving is either untrained or incompetent. They try to explain it away, but that’s lame. I think it’s funny that the kids section is quieter than the rest! The checkout desk staff is horribly loud. They might be hard of hearing because they holler and laugh from 10 feet away from each other. There are NO signs so it is NOT intuitive and you have to wander around to find the ref librarian or whatever which is moronic when you consider they have a huge rotunda right smack dab in front of you when you walk in and would be a perfect place for a centralized info and check out area. Meh.

Tiny library. Not great selection, but if you want to read for pleasure rather than research its adequate. I don't mind the bums around. I do mind the never ending flood of evangelizers throughout this entire center shopping center. Recently overheard one discussing how God was punishing the U.S because women had allowed their physical features, including their noses, to become to masculine. I wonder what he did to help the homeless that day like Jesus..?

Mike Johnson

Good library. Friendly and helpful staff. They have a two hour time limit on internet use, even if no one is waiting to get on. Other libraries like Bear Creek allow you to extend time if no one is waiting. They should change this policy, imho.

Ben Chamley

Staff is very friendly, and helpful. Great environment.

Kristi Johnson

It's never that busy but they also don't carry a sizable collection of books. Although they will be more than happy to order them for you.

Thomas Duran

The librarians are the nicest most helpful Staff just a great place for kids and adults.

Give those kids a chance. Wouldn't you rather them be in here than elsewhere causing harm to themselves and others? Most of them come from homes that are broken or with intolerant or overly strict parents. Yes of course responsibility for the situation in which they find themselves ultimately devolves upon themselves, but they're not trash. Shouldn't it be the manifesto of a public library to serve even this element of society: the homeless, the drug-abusing, the mentally unbalanced? As long as they do no ill while they are there. Set aside a place for them to rest; yes, to sleep. Don't search them out by their age, their body ornamentation, their backpacks. They're like abandoned dogs. You have to keep giving them love. It may not take, but it will make you feel better. And surely you don't want to deny them, indefinitely, one of the only places they can feel safe. Who knows, one of them might pick up a book.

Use to be an encouraging place of knowledge. Now I guess it's " weird" to Hold too many books. Great children's program, not so much if you're running late to story time carrying your Taco Bell and asked to eat outside in an unnecessary, degrading tone...What I should have said was, " Here's some Taco Bell, now you go outside and eat it then come back in with a better attitude"...and be careful to not damage a book. They will grill you if the book is from Aspen to the point that you buy a new copy with a signature of the author and still complain for having to process it. The library is just down the street, I'm sad about the hostility there that I can't go back. But I guess it's kinda ok because I keep going back for more. Just don't want to go back for a year till things calm down around there. It's coming off too much as a police state instead of a place of liberation... and I'm sure there's a lot of homeless people there trying to educate themselves enough to go back to work.

I hate to write a bad review about a library, but I just want to be honest. I have spent countless hours studying in libraries, so I think I have a good idea of what should be expected. First, this library is quite small, therefore there are limited places to study. Second, if you need peace and quiet, this library is not the place to go. There seems to be very little to possibly no acoustics at all in this library. Sound travels through the halls like an echo in a cave. To make matters worse, I really do not believe that anyone enforces sound control. What happened to libraries being quiet places to read and study? Almost every time I am at this library I have to either move to another available desk or just leave because someone is being too loud and disruptive. I have even noticed that some of the faculty do not seem to even try to be quiet when shelving books or talking with visitors. It's extremely frustrating! The study rooms are great because they block out most of the noise, but we are only allowed to reserve one two-hour session per day, and believe me, they monitor the time. Third, I hate to sound discriminatory, but there are always "shady" people there. I'm not just talking bout the homeless people who seem to frequent this library, I'm talking about those weirdos who walk by your table and take inventory of all of your belongings. Or like the weirdo that decided to sit down next to me the other day, even though he saw that I was extremely focused on my work, and proceeded to discuss his recent visit to the strip club. It almost seemed like he made it a point to project his voice for whatever reason. I know other people and probably the staff could hear him, yet nothing was done about it. Fourth, the hours are not very convenient. They close at 5 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They also open at 10 am every day except for Sunday, when they open at 1 pm. The last thing I would like to say is that some staff members seem to be friendlier and more helpful than others. I do have to admit that one staff member, a younger gentlemen, was quite condescending and rude to to me. I hope they have the chance to improve this library. Libraries should be quiet places of sanctuary for those seeking knowledge and quietude.

I like this library. I love the kid programs they have. Employees are helpful. I just wish it opened earlier. I take my kid to preschool for a half day and i wanted to come here and finish school work but it doenst open till 10am which i feel is pretty late. It should open the time time school starts.

Thank you, Talon! To Talon and whom it may concern; Today (Saturday 8-25-18) I was helped by Talon to set up my tablet and phone Outlook and Gmail contacts and calendars. She did and awesome job! As we experience the frustration lengthy time commitment of the protracted process of switching information technology devices it was such a treat to have Talon's experience and abilities to help me. Talon has exceptional people skills! During a 30 minute period I observed Talon helping 12 people, myself, as well as deal with a security concern where law enforcement needed to be brought in.. Each situation was handled professionally and each patron was valued, appreciated and each patron's need was quickly identified, communicated and resolved with a genuine kindness. Roger W. Zwart
