I so love the solitude of our Conifer library. It brings this grandmother joy to watch the students study as I silently support them. As a lifelong learner, I am an inter-library loan queen with Evergreen and Conifer. I am so grateful to return my books to Conifer when needed or wanted, as I live in Pine. What an embarrassment. Someone had the bright idea to combine the high school with the public library which should be separate entities that serve different purposes than mixing the two and diluting it’s effect for all. They offer shortened hours to the community as a whole putting education a distant second to saving a few bucks. This is backwards thinking at its finest. Shame on you and how you spent the people’s tax dollars.

Conifer PUBLIC Library is inside Conifer High School. Students have the use of all the computers against the wall. There are only 3 computers in the middle that are "public" use. The 3 public computers are usually occupied by the Conifer High School students. The "public" is not allowed to use the computers lined against the wall even if there are no students using the computers. This public library is in a horrible location and is not friendly to Public/Community users who pay taxes for this public library - it specifically caters to the High School Students. 30 minute use of the computers is timed but not enforced. The 30 minutes starts over so the students stay on the computers as long as they want.
