Saved my life as a kid (well, one of the things that did). Brand Library was an oasis — a place to get away from home as a teenager, but equally a great place to be and hang out. We could look at a lot of art books that weren't at other libraries, or at galleries or museums in such abundance; where we could check out/listen to music that we otherwise might not have known about or heard, or learn the words to something we'd heard in passing... and because of that maybe learn how to play it ourselves , and become aware that some of those people and instruments and that music we could go listen to in person somewhere... Without the internet at the time, it helped us understand there were other worlds out there. Even with the internet, it was a cool place to be and know about and have passed along to us, be able to pass it on to someone else...

Great library and they're open again. Friday night concerts, great art exhibitions, dance series. Thousands of CDs and now it's such a fun hang in the restored mansion.

Warning to ladies: 3 weeks ago a young woman was raped by 3 men and it was NOT reported on the news or information shared. Hike with a friend. This location is a great place but unsafe after that incident.

Wonderful library. Great concert hall, and beautiful grounds. This gem, just outside LA, is well worth an afternoon visit.

I haven't been in the library, but the trails here are great! Come early or on a weekday because they are busy during the weekend. These trails are steep, so you can get a good workout fast. Be careful because they're not super well maintained and some "trails" run straight off an edge.

It's best place in Glendale, it smells history of this place, also free Wi-Fi, new books, art space hiking a lot of stuff here.

Great park, great library, not the best place to read and study though... People who come in are very loud, often they come in with kids and the library personnel will never ask visitors to keep their voices down. Just the contrary, they will engage in loud conversations with jokes and laughs. If you need a place to study, this is a bad choice.

I love the hiking trails here! Easy to access and very challenging. The library just opened up and I took a quick walk through it. It's pretty nice! Lots of lounge areas.

This library is a very classy place.Tons of books on art and literature.You can get old mags on art.This library rs positioned in a beautiful Brand part with big trees and lots of greenery Next door -doctors house, which is a museum You can spend a whole day in hear It's a treat for your soul.

If you live or work in Glendale but have never visited, prepare to be blown away! This Moorish mansion is a relaxing place to read ( in fancy sitting rooms) or catch up on email. I'm looking forward to checking out the events other reviewers mention.
