I put my phone down for a minute to fill out a form and it was gone.we notify the front desk lady and she went to look in lost and found,came back out and said we don't have it didn't even ask us for phone#s or name to call in case they found it, to me that means that happens a lot and they are just tire of dealing with this issue.

This is an outstanding public library. Great book, video, cd selections. Digital services. Wonderful meeting rooms and special events. Parking can be challenging with all the development happening downtown. The main branch is adjacent to CALS excellent used bookstore/giftshop/cafe - Rivermarket Books and Gifts and the Arkansas Studies Institute's art galleries, archives and local artisans gift shop.

A very nice library - with an excellent facility with a large selection of material. The only caveat is that parking is a little lean, you may have to do a little walking to get there.

This is the biggest library in the system, so it has a separate floor just for the children's department and another floor just for teens (12-19 years). It's really a whole campus with several buildings: the library itself; another building with an art gallery, genealogy dept., rare music & documents archive that are all Arkansas-based; a used bookstore with a sandwich shop; and a movie theater where they show movies and have bands play. It's in the River Market, where it can be crowded sometimes, but from there you can go across the street to the farmers market, park, restaurants, etc. They even have a garden with a fountain! You can always use the drive-thru if you just want to pick something up, but I recommend making a day of it so you can visit the whole neighborhood in one stop. I like that the library has security guards and that there's a police substation right across the street, so I always feel safe.

Recently, our department had an all-day meeting at the library. It has very nice accommodations with the exception of the ability to go to the restroom. The archaic system that has been put in place would not even be appropriate 100 years ago. The system requires you to go to the front desk and sign out the key to the restrooms and then walk mid-library to the bay of restrooms. After using them, you have to walk again down to the front desk where you have to return the key and sign it in. Since we had 15 female attendees in the bunch and I was looking at a way to expedite the process, I asked if we could pass the key to another member of our department without going all the way to the front desk to go through the ritual on each break. I was informed that wasn’t the system and we could not sway from it. I can’t believe that in the year of 2018 there surely isn’t a more accommodating way to help the general public than what you have in place. My suggestion is to sign a designated key out to each Meeting Room for the entirety of the meeting, making the point of contact responsible for returning it after the meeting was over. This simple change would have made our experience perfect at the library.

This is the only Library I use in the entire Library System because if you go to any others you will not usually find what you're looking for they have too few books on the subject in General. I don't have any complaints whatsoever. I have been using the library system for 10 years plus and pretty much main library is the only one I've ever used. The facility is clean restrooms are immaculate but I believe they are not offering vending Services anymore for minor stand I could be mistaken. Also they do have places set aside where you can eat on the Upper Floor where there is a small area for that there's also a fountain there as well. I cannot find any fault with it at all. Also it's wonderful that they have the book sales once a month if I'm not mistaken. It's something or other focal book sale can't remember the exact name of it. Hardcover books at the sale $1 Paperback books $0.50 If your are focal member of course there is a discount. One thing I wish it would do is sell the book bags which they do not unfortunately. But me and time I have checked out quite a few books at one time literally a stack over a foot tall. Even then they will assist you either by getting bags for your books Walmart bags that is. Or a cardboard box or two. They have even allowed me to use when they're book carts to move them to the front of the library as long as it's returned to the circulation desk after you and get them to where you need to go to pick them up when you return with your vehicle. I would rate them 10 Stars if it was an option.

This is the only library I go to because the staff are awesome and very sweet. I just have problems with the staff on the 2ND floor. I'm on my way up there now if he have a problem today I will tell him to quit his job if he not a social person I mean really what you thought u wasn't going to have to deal with people or sum. I would have rated it 5 stars but with him in his attitude they only get four

Largest public library in town. They have a massive selection, and anything you need. They offer fishing pole check outs, and telescopes as well! What a neat idea

Sitting in this library getting irritated!! This dude is sitting 2 seats away from me wearing earphones, and I can still hear the video playing I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston. Over and over and over and over again! REALLY? So I just put my headphones in to block it out!!!!!! And the librarians won't tell them to turn the audio down!?!? Thank God for head/earphones. I do not wanna listen to you repeatedly playing the same song over and over. GEEZ................................................................................
