I don't know where I would be if it weren't for this library. It saved me from a lot of trouble. I would hide out here from my problems as a kid and developed a love for books. Eventually I would volunteer here as a teenager or just go after school and read in a corner. One of the librarians who used to run the volunteers program was an amazing mentor. The women who clean this building are great too..And now I take my child as often as I can. They have amazing programs for all ages guys. Definitely worth going. ❤

Almost five years after moving to Phoenix, this library remains one of my fave spots in the city. This is one of the most beautiful spots in the city to quietly enjoy a book or work on your laptop. The wifi can be spotty at times, but it's fairly reliable for things like writing email. No, you can't eat while you work here - it's still a library after all, but it's worth forgoing your snacks to enjoy the atmosphere here.

Went to this location to use the computers, the lady that was there was not helpful at all. I kept asking her if i needed a password for the computer she said yes its your last name, i put my last name,tried again it didnt let me log in again went to ask her again...she kept saying the same thing but never got off her chair to help me out. Maybe she felt lazy...i dont know. Worst place ever never going back.

WOW! Great Library! Also is a neighborhood hub, with gym, and a pool, etc. So nice! Great audiobook selection included such eclectic favorites as Cannery Row, Eckhart Tolle, Pema Chodron and Toni Morrison. Definitely coming back.

Nice library but the homeless and druggies are taking over the place. They are sleeping everywhere around the library and the park. It’s like night of the living dead there....”zombies” everywhere.

They need private room just for little (screaming) kids. .Thought the library was supposed to be quite place for customers to read, use computers, etc. Its like screaming daycare center. Really staff! Talk to the parents.

This place is everything, the library where you can read in a quiet and nice atmosphere. Use resources like the internet to do whatever, if you need to print they have printers, fax, it's a fun place to go to kill time. Then they have the recreation center and the community pool right next to the library. Then a nice park behind it. Very nice to go to. I am grateful for this place. Thank you City of Phoenix.

I went to this library for the first time today to study and I was impressed. The size is kinda small, but the layout is nicely done and its clean and modern. And did I mention the VIEW?! Oh my goodness, its so wonderful to sit at the east end with a full unobstructed view of greenery while you do homework. Very good amount of seating, though few tables for just one person. Tables are pretty small and had 4 chairs. Be warned if you're an introvert someone may sit with you (happened to me.) There are outlets for your laptops built into the sides of the tables; very cool. Not all the tables have outlets, so check first. I also appreciated how quiet it was there, however once it hit 2PM or so and school let out it got a little loud. I had to take into consideration that its also about 20 feet away from a community center, some boisterous kids went back and forth frequently between the two. I would recommend going there EARLY to study. There is a kids reading corner with little tables and chairs(though I saw adults were using them) and plenty of books for them to read. There is even a row of computers just for little ones. They have a good selection of movies and CD's as well. The location is pretty rough, but there is a security guard who walks the inside/outside regularly. I don't live close to this library, but I will be going back to study. I enjoyed my time there.

Spent the better part of an afternoon here studying. Very enjoyable. It was a lot quieter than Burton Barr, where I had been all morning. Its one level, so you can here the childrens section, but it was not that distracting to me. I sat on the east side of the building, facing the knoll; it was a nice view. There were about 20 round tables that could fit about three laptops, but four or five people could easily sit at one. Kinkda low though, at first I thought i was sitting in the children's area. There were larger rectangle tables that could fit 8 people. I did not see any power outlets for charging. I wasnt bothered for spare change, or asked to sign a petition. A huge improvement from the post-Korea War-period-building that used to house the old Maryvale Library. I will be back.

The establishment is beautiful and the inside is just as serene, it makes for great photography opportunities while the book selection inside is superb! The staff are experienced and the aisles are always thriving, expect a great experience.

it's small, but it has a really good selection of books. i know my step-daughter would love the anime section. the people who work there are very nice and helpful. some of the newer workers don't know as much as the others who have been there longer, but it always works out. i go there all the time. sometimes the parents dont watch their kids and the kids end up getting carried away (i have 3 young ones of my own so i don't mind kids being kids but sometimes it gets ridiculous).. but the people who work there do their best to keep the kids in check and alert the parents if their kids are getting out of hand. i've never seen anyone kicked out, usually the staff there handles everything very well. - Michael's wife

This supervisor is horrible. Very disrespectful as well as the women who was at the front desk with 'blonde hair and blue eyes'. THEY CALLED THE COPS ON A HOMELESS MAN WITH A DOG - FOR THE REASON OF NOT WANTING HIM TO USE THE RESTROOM WITH HIS DOG. THERE AUTOMATIC RESPONSE WAS TO CALL THE POLICE ON HIM - DIDN'T GIVE HIM A CHANCE. THE POLICE OFFICERS GOT THERE- HOW WOULD IT TAKE 8 OFFICERS TO HAVE TO HOLD A HOMELESS HELPLESS MAN DOWN - LET ME REMIND YOU (I HAVE THIS ALL ON VIDEO RECORDED UNARMED MAN) AND NOBODY IS PROSTESTING FOR THIS? Support your local "lieary!" You heard me right. This is the location of the Maryvale Lieary. An amazing coincidence, the lieary is the exact location of the Palo Verde Library. I originally thought this location was a mistake, but I tried to correct it -- twice, and was rejected -- twice. So okay, my mistake.
